As the costume shrinks...rant!
Sorry, trying to do the "as the world turns" voice....
So I am having the hardest time finding a unique costume; one with moderate coverage, no cut-outs where there shouldn't be cutouts, and a FULL top. Not a half-cup!
Ya know, I look at some costumes and I can understand why some people associate it with ahem, "other dance forms". They're getting skimpier and skimpier! I don't want people staring at jiggling boobs rather than my dancing!

Lol, did you see the cut-outs rant? I really enjoyed that.

Re: As the costume shrinks...rant!
It used to be easy to sew the costume armbands onto the tops of the cups and create a beautiful full-coverage bra. But costumes don't come with those kind of armbands any more! I have seen lots of costume bras with fabric ruched along the top edge because the dancer wanted a bit of modesty.
I keep having to add modesty panels to my skirts lately... I don't mind showing some leg, but I want to be sure that's ALL that might show.
And I HATE inappropriate cutouts. Bella-type cutouts that look like lacy cutwork and don't show much skin don't bother me, if they're appropriately placed. But I know the kind you're talking about and I don't like them at all.

AMEN!
When it comes to bras, I have to admit that I rather enjoy showing a bit of cleavage so as long as it is all safe in place, but I just find the shape of a full coverage bra so much more flattering, it gives a much nicer frame to my girls. After all, what's the point of cleavage if it does not look gorgeous?
