Like yogurt?
I thought I'd share a new find. I was at the store yesterday and saw a new yogurt called "SO Delicious." And it is SO SO SO yummy! It's made with coconut milk so it's dairy free and soy free. The flavor is incredible.
What brands do you like? I'm also a big fan of Trader Joe's Fage.

I love Fage Greek Yogurt & there is a local creamery that makes a great greek as well.
Brown Cow full fat cream at the top yogurt is decadently delicious. I also like the mediterranean yogurt with grains in it.

Re: Like yogurt?
I love to make my own mango lassi variant with Trader Joe's ingredients: Half of their full-fat European-style yogurt, half of the mango smoothie/juice, mixed well. It is sooo much better than mango lassi at a restaurant. And, the strawberry kefir at TJ is quite good. Their house-brand Greek yogurt stirred to make it smooth is an excellent substitute for sour cream with potatoes or soups. My cat loves if I share the kefir and the Greek yogurt ;-)
In the summer, I make my own yogurt by the gallon - a gallon of local organic milk, one envelope of cultured yogurt cultures - after a day in the sun, yumminess! When it is really hot, I don't even bother with heating the milk, much less boiling it - I just mix the powder with room-temperature milk and let it sit in the original container on the porch. (This works fine with the powdered cultures, it is not always so successful when reusing the previous batch as starter.)
And, my junk-food equivalent: the blended strawberry yogurt from Whole Foods. There's more color than strawberries in it, but I love it. Guilty pleasure from the dairy case ;-)

Oh cool! My daughter can't have dairy and we love the SO Delicious & Turtle Mountain ice creams and frozen treats but have not seen the yogurt. I'm going to have to hunt it down... Yeah!

Re: Like yogurt?
my kids are yogurt hounds. I like to make my own, but we go through it so fast I usually just buy nancy's whole milk organic. my daughter loooooves the single serving greek yogurts with the honey on the side - she gets those in her school lunch every other day.

I like Silk yogurt a whole lot.
BTW, the So Delicious Ice Cream is amazing! They have both soy and coconut bases for the various flavors and it's unbelievable.

Re: Like yogurt?
Oooh, I love Turtle Mountain! I don't eat much yogurt but when I do its always some kind of soy yogurt (I'm vegan). But I wanted to say that I just tried the new Turtle Mountain soy ice cream flavors pomegranate chocolate chip and coconut craze (both under the Purely Decadent label) and they are amazing!

Re: Like yogurt?
This is great news!:O
I´m holding my thumbs that this can be sold in Sweden since I get tired and bloated when I eat cow dairy products...and itchy/scratchy from soy-but I LOVE youghurt.

I actually don't like Greek, which is weird. I love Rachel's and Wallaby. Yum!

Re: Like yogurt?
I pretty much hated yogurt until I tried Wallaby. Yuuuuummmmmmm!! I have now become a yogurt convert but I can only eat that brand. I love the banana one. I actually drive 45 min each way from my house specifically to purchase it.

Re: Like yogurt?
Try adding maple syrup to your plain or vanilla yogurt...I've done it since I was a kid!

Re: Like yogurt?
By the way, I have my moms old yogurt maker but I've never made any, is it hard? Does anyone have a good, easy recipe?

Re: Like yogurt?
I love Trader Joe's Goat Milk Yogurt, easier to digest than cow's milk and soooo thick and creamy (even better when you add unsweetened cocoa powder and Stevia and make it into a pudding...mmmmm). I'm a recovering yogurtaholic who recently relapsed, so I really shouldn't be on this thread...but now I must try some dairy-free SO Delicious!
