Thread: My Eman Bra No Longer Fits!

I have a beautiful pale yellow Eman that my boyfriend bought for me four years ago. The bra is an A/B cup. When I got pregnant I got wider across my back and of course my chest got bigger. I have lost most of my weight (my daughter is 2)but the bra is now too small! I am a C now and my boobs go under the cup (taping is so uncomfortable). Is there anyway I can fix the cups/straps or will I have to pass this lovely down to my daughter when she gets older?..cr.:

I'm not the best at describing this, but I've seen some people actually do this...but all they do is add some fabric above the cup to make it bigger, something that matches the cup, so it looks like it's part of the cup...I've seen headbands used...at least I think that is what they had, usually the one that comes with the costume.

or ruched chiffon along the top of the cups, I've seen that, too.

Anala did a pictorial of how she enhanced cups that were too small. Maybe use the search feature or contact her.

Dont feel bad-the same thing happened to my "girls". You could also add some blingy trim to the edges that you add on :)

Does the costume have a hair band? If so that will match to make the cups bigger. If not get a matching fabric.
I use foam cup bras, cut out the top side of the cup, cover it with fabric (and or the hair band) and sew it to the inside of the costume bra cup. It works great to save an otherwise lost costume!

Aw, thank you! So far, though, my expertise has been in making them smaller, not bigger. I doubt I will ever have that problem! ..l;,..l;,..l;,

I agree with everyone else in that the most common solution seems to be adding something to the top of the cups. I would say try that, as long as it does not result in a "hey, she added fabric to the top of the cups, but that bra still looks too small for her" look! You could always sell it and buy another one that will fit you!

With all the "dina style cups", which many Emans (and Sahar's and some Hanans) are, you can also change where the straps attach to the cup to create more or less allowance for depth in the cup.
To make the cup smaller, move the straps in towards the center of the cups. To allow more room, move the straps outward, to they attach wider where they meet the cup.

Adding fabric to the top works wonders, I've done that with a costume I HAD TO HAVE even thought the cup was slightly smaller. Using the headband is a great idea, I didn't think of that. I have also used a wristband to add length to the back.

One of my "girls" decided to have a growth spurt while pregnant and now I am slightly lopsided, so I have had to add padding to one cup and not the other.
