Thread: why am i not making more pee

has anyone ever experienced a lot of bloating after drinking tea? i started drinking a cup of green tea around noon every day and i swear the stomach has ballooned. why am i not pee'ing? its like the tea just sits in there

Maybe you are dehydrated. Drink more water. I know that seems funny but when you don't drink enough water your body tends to hold in the water, so you will get that feeling of bloat when you drink tea or coffee or soda. This happens to me a lot when I don't drink enough water.

Some teas are a natural dehydrator.

Green tea has caffeine in it, so that might be related to it. I had to give up caffeine completely due to recurring UTI/kidney infections. But I do love tea, so I drink non-caffeinated herbal teas. Herbal tea doesn't contain any parts of the tea plant, which is where regular and green tea gets its caffeine. It's basically an infusion of herbs and other botanicals.
