    Re: Hairtopia?

I haven't but I did a search on the beauty forum that I'm a member of, and found a couple people that have tried it and noticed hair growing fast. They said all your hair grows, not just the hair on your head. Others also recommended biotin...again I have no experience or personal knowledge about this stuff.

I got a BIG cut from my hairdresser and it's awful...

I'm taking prenatal vitamins now (but I don't know how much this will help...) as well as Biotin...

"all your hair" I was wondering about that!! :)

Honestly, I don't notice that much of a difference.

eta: It still sucks though that you didn't get the cut you wanted! I had the something similar happen to me in high school just days before the first day of my senior year. My hair was in a cute bob just below my chin and I went in for a trim. The lady did a hack job...my longest layer just barely hit my cheek bone. Oddly enough, I got more compliments on that cut than I have on any other. There's nothing more annoying than having a stylist not do what you want.

Eshe, I can completely empathize with you (I've certainly had plenty of occasions where hair dressers did something different than what I asked, and it usually involved whacking off a lot more hair than they were supposed to....) but... as Sariah pointed out...to anyone *other* than you it's not that terribly noticable. Anywhere between bottom of bra strap and ass-length pretty much just reads as "very long" to most people. (Butt-length and longer reads as "oh my god, how is she not constantly slamming that in car doors.") I can't tell you the number of times I've cut 5 or 6 inches off my hair and not even my husband noticed.

This is not to minimize your own frustration with your hair cut situation, but rather just to suggest...maybe it'd be worth considering not messing around too much with your body chemistry in the name of trying to grow it faster--especially at the risk of growing lots of hair in other places. You look good, your hair will grow fairly quickly, and in the meantime, you'll also adapt to the length, better than you would to, say, a nice beard anyhow. ;-)

Your hair is beautiful long, and I see why you miss it, but it's also lovely short*.

I would recommend scalp massage with a blend of oils and essential oils that boost hair growth. I mix my own, but I've heard good things about this product - I've bought other items from this woman before, and she's a pleasure to deal with.

    ETA *ShortER, I should say!

It's a shame that you weren't able to donate the hair that was cut off to Locks of Love or something similar. At the very least it would help you feel not so bad about having shorter hair. A couple of years ago my hair was below my bra strap (long for me actually) and I cut it off really short because I was working in a retail store and shorter hair was just easier to fix for work. Anyway, the hair that was cut off was donated to make wigs for chemotherapy patients. Whenever I had bad hair days (or what I considered to be bad hair days) I just thought about how my cut-off hair was helping someone else feel a little bit prettier while they were battling cancer.

Aw you still look gorgeous Eshe, absolutely stunning before and after.
It actually draws attention to your tiny waist a bit more now.
About 6 years ago I went from bum-length hair to about 1" all over eek! I'm never one to do things by halves.
I kept it short for about a year then after being mistaken for a man once too often I decided to grow it.
It's currently about the same length as yours.

Eshe, you look beautiful, your hair looks full, healthy and bouncy! I'd kill for hair as long as your is NOW .w.: I can only imagine how you must feel, but honestly, I just see fabulously long hair.

    Re: Hairtopia?

I would love your shorter length hair, so here's someone that has hair envy! My hair is thick, very very curly. When I had it "long", it would be just at my shoulders - and it DIDN"T MOVE. No sexy swishy hair tossing, no hair flips, no hide my eyes - peek a boo. ZIP.

Now it's v. short. Think Jamie Lee Curtis style.
