Re: Sparkly belly covers
Yes, the prongs do snag. They are not appropriate for stretch fabric as they have a tendency to work their way out of the fabric again. (Do not ask me why I know this.
) For a lined belt with no stretch, the prongs could be less of a problem, but I would really recommend NOT using them on a tummy cover!

Re: Sparkly belly covers
At Michael's when I worked there, its was an on going joke. Anything can be fixed with glue. Hot glue gun will travel. But I'm not sure if the nylon will go up in flames(my luck) gem-tac and crystals I'm good to go. Got to have bling.

Re: Sparkly belly covers
thank you :)
i have a resale account with bohemian crystal in l.a.
Welcome to Bead Factory
you can buy retail from them no problem. they ship ups.
they also now have the chinese stones. about 1/3 cheaper. they are not as perfect as the swarovski, but on stage no one will know if your a.b. coating is scratched a bit. i'm gonna try the chinese crystals for my next project. will let you know how it works.

Re: Sparkly belly covers
I have a glue I think it's E6000 or something like that. I used it to glue small stones on my shoes. I think I'll try using that to glue some stones on my belly cover.

Re: Sparkly belly covers
Liquid Stitch is good stuff. So is Aleena's patch and applique glue. I also have some stuff called Unique Stitch but I haven't used it yet. You may want to try something that is meant for fabric.
(Why I have 3 different kinds of fabric glue is beyond me).

Re: Sparkly belly covers
I guess I should go get some fabric glue. I bought the stuff I had from a craft store but I'm not sure it can be used on fabric. I know this will sounds dumb, but how do I glue the stones on? won't they pull funny or fall off when the mesh stretches?

Re: Sparkly belly covers
No clue, sweetie. I would try it with the fabric stretched and let it dry like that. It seems like a logistical nightmare though.
