It's even funnier when they're singing about it.

Re: Mantyhose
I wonder if they shave their legs too... what the article describes is a lot more like opaque tights than panty hose. I don't tend to shave my legs during the winter, and wearing tights when it's really cold, under my jeans, feels WEIRD on my legs! Especially AFTER you've taken them off!

Re: Mantyhose
I don't understand how anyone of any gender can handle pantyhose. I feel very ... crowded and they make my legs itch.

Re: Mantyhose
"They are tougher, less delicate than women's pantyhose, but not as bulky as long underwear."
Um, right. They're called "tights". And this is what's known as "repackaging for maximum sales".
Now, Manties are a horse of another color:
MANties - Panties made just for men
Not that I mean to poke fun at anyone's fetish needs. Still. Even I don't wear bows and ruffles on my underpants anymore!

Re: Mantyhose
I don't get it. Since when do 'hose keep people warm? We're talking about a garment whose purpose is to look like you're not wearing it....as "sheer" as they can make it as possible....how does that equal warm? I've never understood when people say "oh, it's cold out, you should wear pantyhose." Uh, hi, they're constructed of MESH which means HOLES?
Now, if one were wearing wool cable-knit tights, that might be a bit warmer. But still not, y'know, really warm.
I mean, if these dudes want to keep warm, why don't they just...y'know, get some long underwear or lined jeans or something?
And yes, they are miserable things to wear. They also make me itch--I take my hose of and SCRATCHSCRATCHSCRATCH right away. Even worse is if you itch with them on and are trying to scratch without putting a run in them! Then there's the riding down at the crotch (nothing more attractive than regularly grabbing down there to haul the damn things up, the worrying about getting runs in them, blah blah blah...I wouldn't bother with the bloody things at all except...well...they DO make my legs look better...Last edited by Kat144; 01-11-2009 at 09:42 AM.

Re: Mantyhose
I cant remember guys wearing hose in Europe...then again, I havent lived there for 6 years. HM, I do remember guys wearing longjohns as "tights" during the winter when skiing...
I dunno, is a hose still a hose if it's made of cotton? Looks more like tights to me... Go Robinhood.
Now we just need a tigersuit (fullbody catsuit for men) lol.

Re: Mantyhose
hubby just came in; the convo:
"hey - you want a pair of manties?"
*looks over my shoulder at screen, snorts and shakes his head*
"no thanks, I'll just wear yours."
"but these are cut fuller, where you need it the most!"
*looks at me like I'm stupid*
"but that's not the point. that's not why you wear them. you WANT that snugness."
lmao!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he's not a cross-dresser, by the way. no idea where he would have come up with this knowledge...
