Thread: Blingy (and Costume-Worthy) Bra Sighting at Charlotte Russe and Joyce Leslie!

Costuming alert!

Both of these stores (they have junior-sized clubwear and trendy clothes) have these great and CHEAP rhinestone-and-sequin-covered bras that would look great under beledi dresses, or with Melodias and a blingy belt for fusion. I can't find a picture of them, but the base is black and you can get 'em with silver, black and gold trim. They are sufficiently covered in bling and don't look like lingerie! $15 fazools each. I have one in every color!

Snap 'em up quick....once stores like that wipe out their inventory, it's gone forever. (Which means that if you're in Connecticut and looking for a size small, you're probably S.O.L.)

Yes! I think that would be great under a beledi dress or something, when you want a little extra sparkle but could do without the fringe.

They're marked down to $20 at the Charlotte Russe store and they're $15 at Joyce Leslie! I stocked up because you never know when they could come in handy.

So true. I'm off to the mall to see if Charlotte Russe has them here in SC for cheaper than online.

The sequin bra with coins is kinda scary and there's one on the bottom of the page that looks like it has an olives-and-pimentos motif. Love the turquoise version of this bra, though.

I wish I could agree but the plain adjustable bra straps and visible back hooks absolutely scream "decorated lingerie" to me.

I would just make my own straps, since they'd need to be reinforced anyway.

Or you could wear it with an L. Rose u-top, which would cover up the lingerie straps and hardware.

yes, this works perfectly...I did this when I needed a tribal coin bra for a performance and didn't want to take the time to make it a true dance bra as I needed it fast and I knew I'd only wear it a handful of times. You can't tell it's an unlined lingerie bra at all thanks to the u top.

Ooooh, the u-top is a good idea too. I really must break down one of these days and get some!
