there is debate about whether or not it's ok to dye over henna?

today i went to a salon and talked with a stylist about it, i showed her the henna i used (from that henna site we all like) told her i did it about two weeks ago, and that i wanted to try some subtle streaks so that if my hair DID turn green at least it would be minimal ..l;,

so she kept my base hair the same and added copper, caramel, red and burgundy layers or streaks all over the place..thin ones.

i LOVE it. i can almost deal with the soccer mom length now. no green hairs! no weird reactions (whew!)

so your hair may react different but one guinea made it thru. now that i know its ok i wanna go back and get more streaks. am hooked.

What... no pics? Sounds lovely.

i'll try but it may not show up , they are pretty subtle..am so happy they are not green. this opens the world to color possibilities. very important for a gemini artsy type :)

Have you gone in the ocean or a pool yet? Wondering if salt water or chlorine might still turn it green.

I wanna see pics too. I have such dark hair and I have to be so careful what colors I use. But the ones you have sound gorgeous!!
