Thread: Veil Fans How To?

I have dyed so beautiful pieces of silk to produce a series of veil fans.

I was wondering what type of adhesive anyone has used to attach the silk to the staves. I am concerned about anything to harsh damaging the cloth but of course it needs to be sturdy as well.

Also, I am still searching for more flexible, lighter weight staves. Does anyone have a source for them?

I have some of the ones similar to the ones Melea sells but I would like some alternatives.

They look beautiful! Do you plan to sell them? I am getting ready to film, the Level 2 (combinations, choreography, and 3m fans) and would be interested in one or a set.

On the glue - most of the fans I have seem to use something like rubber cement - it is gooey and sticky. However it appears to be water soluble...so getting the fans wet is a disaster.

Yes, I will be selling some of them. I would love to make some for you. I want to make sure I am happy with the adhesive before I sell any of them.
