Anything else like a Melodia twist top
I just received an organic Melodia twist top that I ordered. While I like the design a lot, it's a little snug. I don't know how it's one size fits all, since I'm only a 32C, and I barely fit it.
Are there other cotton tops similar to these in design and price? Or should I go for the tie tops?

Ha! just imagine how I feel (resisting the need for an F cup, and stuffing these babies into an E)? It's like trying to wrap a small ladylike hankie around a couple of grapefruits.

Wow, 32C, you're tiny. That doesn't seem to be one size to me. I've never had one of their twist tops so I don't know if there's an adjustment to make or not. You might try contacting them directly and asking.
As an alternative, you can order a half top from L Rose designs in cotton lyrcra that might do the trick.

snoooorrrrrrt. I tried to stuff my 38" bustline into a melodia twist top. not even close.
while it's not very similar, I really like the wrap tie top with short sleeves from l rose designs.

Béa, I knew we had a lot in common! Much of it right up front.

Most of my dance tops right now are Sharifwear wraps. They are versatile, mostly stretchy, made of interesting fabrics, and accommodating of bosoms. Not inexpensive, but there are often great finds on the sale/clearance page.

Re: Anything else like a Melodia twist top
Remarkably, they are listed as one size fits all. I assumed that I ordered an xS or something. They claim (per the listing) that they fit up to a 36D or something like that; I don't know how that works. People on the Melodia tribe noted that they're small like me (I think one woman was an A cup), and they couldn't fit.

I second Zana's suggestion of the sharifwear top. I picked up a used one here on Bhuz and I love it. It has held up very well to multiple wearings and washings.

How does Sharifwear breathe? I like the look, but aren't they synthetic fabric?

Re: Anything else like a Melodia twist top
A 36D?!?! (snort) HA! I'm a 34B with a 29" ribcage. I bought a Melodia twist top from another Bhuzzer a while back. Once I had finally struggled into it, it was so snug that it completely flatten what little bit of bust I've got...c:: Even worse... I needed help to get out of the thing because it was too tight for me to pull off over my shoulders...l;, "One size" my butt!

Re: Anything else like a Melodia twist top
The Sharifwear tops are mostly synthetics. It depends on the fabric -- I prefer the lightest-weight ones, which are often mesh or semi-sheer knits. By "mesh" I don't mean fishnet -- I mean the airy mesh prints that have been popular for summer tops in the past year or two. Some of the denser stretch lace fabrics are uncomfortably warm, but the more open ones are pretty breathable.

Re: Anything else like a Melodia twist top
Sharifwear has a cotton twist top. It may not be on their website, but I know you could probably call Nourhan or Veronica about it. She had sent me a few once with an order. They were cotton I believe, but not a really heavy cotton.

Willow just released her line of BD/Yoga wear, perhaps her twist wrap top may work for you?

You might try Geisha Moth's tops, they aren't as snug as the Melodia ones. I also nearly hurt myself trying to get in, and then back out of a Melo twist top!

Suhaila has something similiar on her website. The front looks similar to the Melodia style tops and the fabric here is the same. I don't know why there is no picture of the front :(

Re: Anything else like a Melodia twist top
That is so weird! I am a 32C as well, and the twist tops I've bought (I tried buying 3 in different colors before I gave up on them) all were so big around in the rib cage that they rode up on me. If I didn't pin them to my bra to keep them down, I'd have had some serious "underboob" action going on.
I like Melodia's tie tops much better, since you can tie them tighter or looser as needed.

I agree with the Geisha Moth recommendation - the Incognito tops are wonderful - plus, Mothy is such a great person to deal with!

Re: Anything else like a Melodia twist top
The Melodia twist tops seem to be really variable in their sizing. I am a 32D, so very close to you in size. I have one twist top that fits me fine- I actually have to put it in the dryer sometimes after wearing it because it gets too stretchy and then moves around in, ahem, undesirable ways. (I always wear something under mine! I know some people don't, but... uh... yeah. Always a bra or bikini top underneath for me.) My friend has another twist top that is so small for me that I can't even put it on!! I wanted to borrow it for a costume once so I tried it on and I literally needed help getting out of it. D:

I've never tried a tie top.
