Thread: Azhia, etc how to do drag queen makeup?

Not that the desired result is to look drag queen but for fun knowledge, Azhia does your dvd cover the topic? Anyone recommend?

well im asumming the first step is to clean shave the sideburns beard and moustache ;) hehee

And cover the eyebrows and beard shadow with thick, thick concealer/foundation.

It seems to be quite common among drag queens who prefer to err on the side of horrific to completely cover their own brows and then draw thin, arched ones above the brow line. That creates, of course, a very large open eye area that can handle the longest false lashes available. And the whole brow area is usually highlighted.

Even drag queens who are not going for the "Divine in Pink Flamingos" look seem to do this. Highlighter, especially frosted or metallic highlighter, and a very high eyebrow is very drag queen to me.

I just saw that RuPaul is hosting a new reality show on Logo TV ~RuPaul's Drag Race. I went to the website www. rupaulsdragrace.com and watched the trailer. Looks like a fun break from the "reality" that's on TV right now.
And you may get some great make up tips from it.

His drag brows are located above the line of his real brows (which I suspect he shaves off for drag, unless all his pix are doctored).

Rupaul is amazing as either gender.

yup, the eyebrows.
some girls do that too, wax/shave their eyebrows then "draw in" new ones higher and more curved.
gotta be careful when doing that though, i think you can easily give yourself "the ***** look" (too high/too curved, makes it look unnatural and makes you look angry/disdainful... IMHO)

A long bath and a package of razors are the start to RuPaul's makup routine. He takes everything off -- his autobiography talks about his transformative tips. LOVE him.
