Thread: ben nye final seal ROCKS

product rave! my troupe put on a big theater show yesterday with bollywood dance, russian gypsy and bellydance. I was in *ten* routines. I put my makeup on at 1:30 for the 2:00 show, and misted on a troupemate's final seal. omg. my makeup stayed perfect throughout the whole two hour show without smudging or fading or sweating off. and it continued to look great until I got home from the afterparty at midnight, after another two hours of crazy sweaty dancing around our troupe leader's living room. awesome stuff.

I was just thinking about that stuff last night! Now I have to order some.
How do you wash it off? Do you have to use something harsh or will my regular gentle makeup remover do it?

You can buy Ben Nye at stage supply websites and stores. I bought my Final Seal at Raleigh Creative Costumes when they were going out of business. I have to rave about it too!! I had a performance with my students on Sunday night, but I had scheduled a massage right beforehand and I decided I didn't want to cancel. I put on my makeup as usual and sprayed the heck out of my face with Final Seal. After having my face mushed into the headrest thingy for like 45 minutes, my makeup was still all in place and none of it came off on the headrest! I don't know what the hell is in Final Seal, but it WORKS.

Does it feel weird when you're wearing it? Sort of shellacked and stiff, which is the feeling I get from the (otherwise great) She-Lac? If Final Seal feels any more comfortable to wear than that, I am going to have to run out and get me some. Ben Nye has some really wonderful stuff.

It does feel a little weird when I first put it on-- sort of sticky, almost like hairspray-- but after a little while I can't notice it (and I am extremely sensitive). I can't compare it to She-Lac though, as I've never used that product.
