Thread: Bellydance Beauty Bags! (Be on my blog!)

Fellow dancers,
I run a beauty blog called "The Life of A Ladybug" (The Life of A Ladybug, if you wanna check it out) and I'm always looking for new, fun things to post there. It occurred to me that it would be fun to do a whole series on "Bellydance Beauty Bags", kind of showcasing what it takes to go from ordinary, though beautiful, folks into the extraordinary dancing divas that we embody onstage.

Would you be willing to participate? I would love to showcase some fellow Bhuzzers. What I'm thinking is that there would be a post introducing you, your dance style, any info you'd like to add (including web addresses, contact info, etc.). Then a "before" pic, a list of all the beauty booty and implements it will take to transform into "bellydancer" with an accompanying picture of said makeup/tools and then a glamorous "after" picture.

Does this sound interesting? I would love if some of you would like to volunteer for it. And, if you have any suggestions on what I can do to make that series more interesting to you as a dancer or to other beauty-maniacal folks, I'd love to hear 'em.

It should be fun - I'm looking forward to showcasing dancers and all it takes to make us look as fab as we do.

I'm in!!! I think this is such a fun idea, and I perform Saturday anyway & my hubby is a budding photographer, so I'll take some "before" and "after" pics, and a performance pic!

When I saw belly dance beauty bags, I though you wanted people to show how and what they used in their makeup kit. That would be fun too -- I can get a little OCD about whatever I'm interested in at the time, and I got very into making the perfect stage makeup kit. ..l;,

Well, if you're uncomfortable showing your "before" face, but would still like to participate, let me know! I'm fine with you doing only what you're comfortable with. You can still do the "what I use in my kit" pics and then post a glam "after" pic of yourself. It'll be just as fun.

Hubby just took my Before picture, and I'll warn you, it ain't pretty. It looks like the mug shot for a meth addict! ..l;,
