how to get more recession mileage out of your costumes

I know we all like Bellas but for the price of one Bella, you can purchase a sparkly Neckelmanns and multiple skirt and veil sets. The easiest and most affordable way to change around the look of a costume is with a skirt and veil set

Re: how to get more recession mileage out of your costumes

love bra/belt combos. i have a mostly purple bedlah that looks great with both lavender and dark purple skirts, it could probably work with some more colors if i get brave. and i love having the option of a trumpet or straight skirt for a sexy look, or circle skirts when i'm feeling more... i dunno, twirly and girly?

when i first read the subject of this thread i thought it was fixing up old costumes. i have an issue with some of my older costumes where the sequins are a bit duller than they used to be. any suggestions? thanks in advance!

ETA: by duller I mean, there's icky stuff that's covering up the bling!
