    BD pattern #1011

Has anyone ever done this pattern OR can you think of a similar pattern from Simplicity or the like.

After mucking up some nice lace, I want to get a real pattern because I don't have time to draft, fit, sew muslin up of a new style... But dang, these are expensive!

The dance group I'm with is planning on making some lacy ruffled skirts. We found a vogue pattern that we're going to use as a base and then adapt to our needs:

    VoguePatterns - V8364 - MISSES' SKIRT - 8364

We got it on sale from a local fabric store. Online, it's not much cheaper than the belly dance pattern you found. You might just head out to a local fabric store and flip through the fabric books and see if you find anything.

BD patterns tend to have sparse instructions. Good for experienced seamstress.

That's OK, I can get by without instructions, I just don't want to draft the pattern pieces. But a good heads up.

I was looking at this one, it is actually pretty cute. I would guess I would eliminate the waist yoke though, and then I wonder how the top of it would lay.
