yummy body oil?
anybody have a decadent delicious body oil they can recommend? in the winter I love to slather it on after a shower. I'm almost out of my bottle of weleda baby calendula oil (almond oil base) and I may as well try something new. I like pretty much all scents except for rain/cucumber/melon types. I like herbals (geranium, lavender), incense-y stuff, exotic, tropical... thanks! :)

It's super easy to make your own. Whole Foods or other health foodie type places carry various vegetable carrier oils (we use the stuff we use for cooking, the Grapeseed Oil; you can use the almond, avocado, jojoba, etc.) as well as essential oils. "Real" essential oils all have different prices, and you'll notice that sandalwood, if it's even available, is now through the roof because it is endangered.
Pretty much anything goes well with anything within reason. Mix a few drops of lavender AND geranium together! These tend to be top notes, so you may want to balance it out with a bottom note. For example, lavender (top note = evaporates faster but hits your nose first) + geranium + cedarwood (bottom note = evaporates slower, you smell it later). You'll end up making new combos all the time. Write down your formulas so that if you really like something you can recreate it.
OR just get some Sun Dog body oils, they have some nice combinations. :0)

I really like the Vitamin E Beauty Oil by Jason, but you have to be willing to smell like an almond macaroon. (I have no problem with that.) Trader Joe's lavender oil is also nice and relatively inexpensive.

Nuxe makes the best ever, but it is pricey.

I also make my own. I use organic olive oil and just a little bit avocado oil and infuse it with essential oils. My favourite combo i rose wood, lavender, orange and myrrh. Olive oil is a bit warming so you never need to freeze getting out of the shower.

I use Neutrogena's Light Sesame Oil. No fuss having to make up my own and it works like a charm in these dry Maine winters.

I use olive oil, it has the added benefit of being a flavor my husband loves to taste.
