Ok, I know we're not supposed to do this, but I couldn't resist. I've seen this one on a vendors site for quite some time now. Nobody's bought it. Gee, I wonder why?

It was originally marked $450, but has been marked down to $325. I still wouldn't buy it at that price.

Yes, Laura, you're absolutely correct in your observation. She has a bug covering her.... ahem, bug.

The funny thing is that this vendor sells some nice costumes. Mostly they're just your typical turkish costumes, but they're nicely made workhorses. I've done alot of alterations for local dancers on them so I've seen alot in person.

I can't imagine what drug she was trippin' on when she ordered this one.

True, but the bra is pretty strange looking.

I love them too. Even though we may not all have the same opinion on a costume, I think it's fun to share a laugh with each other. I think they were banished because people might become offended if they saw a photo of themselves or a costume they own on the thread. And, as susuabdo correctly pointed out, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I took the chance on posting this because the costume is on a manequin and not a real person and it's also on a vendor's site meaning it has not yet been purchased. I haven't even revealed the vendor, so I hope noone here has been offended.

I like when someone posts a UBDC, and then someone really OWNS it. I think TamraHenna did that with the "seamonster costume" from Dahlal. Some stuff is just wacky, and if you can own it and pull that off girlfriend... showstopper. I actually like the black polka dot one on the blog btw, except for the bra fringe.
Although, I don't think anyone could own this one.

That's how I feel about the Sahar "Hands" costume. I don't like them and I certainly couldn't pull it off, but somebody posted a youtube clip of someone else wearing one (I can't remember who the dancer was) and you know, she really made it work for her and it was a fun performance to watch.

You're absolutely right Tahira, it was Dina. I should have known. She can pull off all kinds of crazy things that I wouldn't even begin to attempt.
How on earth she manages to keep her "girls" in her bras I'll never understand. Even with fashion tape it seems like an engineering feat to me.

weeeellll, she may not have.............i've assisted a vendor with shipments, as things come out of boxes we oooh, and aaaah, tells the story of why she picked it, then pull out a clunker............, and her face screws up....' i didn't want THAT'

it was explained that with designers and distributors, you pick out styles, describe a market's taste, and say you want 400 pieces in a good variety in styles and colors and sizes...........you inevitably end up with a UBDC to fill the order...............looks like even THEY are trying to get rid of it........l;,
