Thread: Stick decorating ideas/advice?

Who has experience decorating PVC pipe? ..g.:

Seriously, I'm using these in a double-stick routine, and I'm looking for ideas. I'd love to use some kind of holographic tape, alternating with black or another solid color--anyone ever done this? Does such a thing exist? Alternatively, I'd like to use some type of glitter paint. I want these babies to sparkle when I twirl them. But, I'm not a crafty person at all, so I thought I'd ask here first before I go off half-cocked to JoAnn's.

They do have holographic tape--at Michaels, it's back in the project presentation section, with the posterboard. I don't know how it would hold up for a stick routine, but for my cane, I wrapped it in metallic embroidery floss in stripes. There's a product called Terrifically Tacky Tape you can use to stick almost anything on--that's what's underneath my floss.

Also, when I was a flag-twirler in high school, our flags were on PVC poles, and you could actually get decorative tape and stuff from the dance-supply company.

That tape site is awesome--I wonder if it would be overkill to do glitter *and* holo tape. ..l;,
