You can always ask. My attempt to order troupe dresses, years ago, was very interesting. Things were a little chaotic back then... now everything's on an even keel.

I think their sizes are really weird.. Like one pharaonics with A cup and 40 hips, and maybe the skirt is 34 long.. and they have a DD costume that is exatly the same, but with 38 belt, and 40 long skirt :O Couldnt they just swich the belts?

Or sell the pieces separately f.eks. ? Hm.. maybe I just have a weird body...

I've noticed that, too. The small tops have significantly larger bottoms, and vice versa. If I could get a beautiful petite costume off the rack, I would be one happy camper!

That said, if any of you want a confetti bedlah, I'd be open to swapping bottoms/tops! ..l;,

I want a silver or gold confetti bedlah, but I wear a D cup and have a 33" upper, and the D's that they have listed have belts that are too big. I emailed to see if the silver one that's a D and 35-40" upper could be adjusted without looking off-center, but they haven't emailed me back. With a 1-piece butt-cupper, it could easily look weird if overlapped too much.

Yeah, Turkish belts are so much more adjustable than Egyptian butt huggers. Come to think of it, though, it's not just BDStore. I can never seem to buy a bedlah anywhere - Dahlal, local vendors, etc. - with a belt smaller than 38". Even 36" is a stretch, and I have a 28" upper hip.

    Buying costumes custom-made is fun and all, but I wish I could just buy a good workhorse bedlah or two and be done with it! ,r:;

To be fair- there are women built in all shapes, sizes and proportions. Larger on top, larger on bottom and "even stevens."
In the Pharaonics bedleh- if they have a lot of the same color- call or email and ask if they can arrange/organize a size combination closer to what you need. :)

Satin- Some of the Pharaonics are more hip adjustable than others. The narrow two piece belts (like the paisley) are obvious ones, but there are others as well. If there's something specific you're looking for- I'd be happy to check it out to see if it could be adjusted to fit a 28 inch upper hip. (ps. I'm on my way there today!)

Oh, crap, just what I need! More "enabling!" ..l;,

But I'd be interested to see if there were any silver Pharaonics Icicle sets that could be made to fit my size, or any confetti Ablas in teeny sizes hidden in the back room

I'm really digging all the beautiful classic styles in this shipment!

Ummmm, if you happen to see a Pharaonics "Straps" in silver or gold, or a Confetti (in silver) in a D cup (34D) that would fit a 33" upper, could you let me know? I have money and am ready to buy!

Oh, phooey. I didn't see these until after I got home.
Satin, the Pharaonics icicles set is a two piece belt with a bit of cup to the back, but not a huge amount. If you contact them- they'll gladly find the smallest belt to go with the right top for you.

Amara, Oooh, I love the straps set. They are waiting for a Pharaonics shipment that I think is supposed to have more silver and gold (and colors) in the straps set. I didn't even go downstairs in their main stock yesterday... (again didn't see this until after I got home), so I'm sorry I didn't get to look for a confetti.

If you have a narrow ribcage, their "D's" will likely be too big for you. I'm a 34D and some of their "B's"have fit me-all of the "D's" are too big. I think they are assuming a 36 or 38 band.

Thanks for the tip- I'm a 34D. Maybe I should try one of their C's!

I'll send another email. They haven't responded from the last one that I sent (last week) asking about how adjustable the belts are.

Well, there IS the fact that some people have big boobs and small hips, or vice versa. :) Personally, I was psyched to be able to find a DD/DDD costume with a skirt that fit my 36" hips!

Just colors? The colors are gorgeous, but if there was a silver or gold that would fit a 34D w/ 34" upper hip, I'd buy it in an instant!

Do you know if they're going to be selling JUST the bedlah, or only sets? Most of the listings lately have included a skirt, and while they're lovely, that puts it out of range price-wise for me.

I didn't get to look through all the Pharaonics boxes- they literally came in while we were in the middle of doing pictures. I believe they were supposed to get in silver and gold as well.
A lot of the bedleh and skirts they sell separately OR together...sometimes confusing on the website I think 'cos that means there might be three different "style" numbers/"items" for the same thing. One full set, one just bedleh and one just skirt. Email to ask.

Embarrassingly enough I didn't recognize myself at first. ..g.: Yea- that Madame Abla Fashions is dreamy! I am IN LOVE with the bra bead draping and how it moves.

Shahla, that orange sherbet is so pretty! There is something lady-about it.

What are y'all calling "straps"? I searched but didn't see anything named that; just the word "straps" used in a description.

Hehehe, that's my friend, fellow bhuzer and troupemate Mara Najla. She jumped in and did that on her own. It's perfect, isn't it?

They were missing the costume names... they've fixed it since (for Pharaonics anyway)... The "straps" set is one of their new bedlahs. It might be sold out, cos none are coming up for sale, but here's one shown with an Arabesque skirt:
