Thread: Swag fringe with fast turnaround?

Hey all -- I am looking for a vendor who sells lengths of Egyptian glass beaded fringe that is looped into swags. So far all I have found is Horus & Isis, which I believe has a $200 minimum -- and I only need maybe one meter of fringe. Does anyone have a lead on a reliable vendor who carries the stuff and could get it to me quickly?

I wish I did. I've done alot of searching for this and the only vendor I've ever found is Horus and Isis. You can place an order for under $200, but you will pay double what the per meter price is for the fringe.

shahla, have you ever bought any? Is it nice quality?

I've bought several pieces of it over the years from H & I. It is good quality and it has always arrived quickly.

I've been leaning more toward making my own looped fringe on the next costume I make rather than buying. We shall see. . .

I've never made my own fringe, but I hear that a bead spinner is a must have if you're going to do it.

I bought some and the quality was pretty good. It wasnt silver lined so it didnt have the deep color saturation I had hoped for. Mine was gold. I was disappointed in the silver trinagle fringe.

I have asked Lucy of Scheherezade Imports about swag/looped fringe and she said she can special order it. That doesn't provide the fast turnaround aspect, but coming through Lucy the quality will be excellent.

Lucy's fringe is some of the nicest I've ever bought. King of the Nile also makes excellent fringe, but he doesn't do looped stuff. Good to know about Lucy being able to take special orders.

Kulthum, I need some swag fringe - I would be willing to get together on an order. I need black with gold beads interspersed, can that vendor accommodate this request - I think I have an account with this vendor.

I think that might need to be special ordered, and I am needing this fringe RSN -- like, within a week.
