Help! Fringe Problems....
I just bought a new Eman Zaki and one of the fringes fell apart before I even performed in it (there aren't many to begin with)
A friend mentioned that I can apply clear nail polish remover to the ends (at the knot) to reinforce it. Are there any other techniques you know that work too?? I don't want my new costume to fall apart ,f::

Re: Help! Fringe Problems....
I would recommend a product made by Aleene's. It's called Stop Fraying. It's basically just a glue. It goes on white and dries clear. Just a tiny drop on each knot will keep the fringe from coming apart. You should be able to find it in your local fabric or craft store.

Thank you Ladies.
Would you do this on every new costume you buy?

Re: Help! Fringe Problems....
not like i have many costumes lol, but the bra/belt set i have that i'm working my way to fitting, yes i intend to do it, even if the fringe looks pretty solid. i don't think a tiny drop of clear glue at the end of each strand would have any negative effect on the fringe, and if it can help for solidity, why not?

I use Fray Check if the end knots look wimpy.

I tried the nail polish and it seemed to bond the thread together pretty well. I'll try some of the other products next time. Thanks Ladies!
