Help with a wrap around halter on a bra
I love Eshtabellydance's halter arrangement on her brown costume, and I've seen this gathered halter strap and bra sides trim on a number of costumes. What does the halter strap pattern piece look like? Is it just a long rectangle? And is the trim that goes down the sides of the cups a separate piece from the halter? My fabric is a thick stretch slinky.

That is a gorgeous costume!
It does appear to be a gathered/ruched rectangular piece of fabric that can be either connected fully or a separate piece.
I would fortify the stretch fabric with a strip of gross grain inside or interfacing so that it does not stretch out of control.

It is a beautiful costume, I like her work a lot. Grosgrain is a good idea.
