Thread: How do you order your costumes?

I have seen all these beautiful costumes on the forums and have always wondered, How and where do you order them? I look on the websites or google the brand names I see here, but am not impressed by the inventory.

But you all have such beauties. Are they a members only type of costume? Someone had a peacock Bella on another forum that is to die for. And awhile back there was a great loop thread. I didn't see any great loops on Dahlal's site.

This is just to satisfy my curiosity. With times the way they are, a costume is not the first thing on my list right now but a girl can dream can't she?

Make your own if you can! It guarantees originality & fit and cost is more reasonable.

Belly Dance Store.com They list only what they have in stock- and they HAVE A LOT with good prices...including some great loops right now.
Dahlal Internationale : Welcome! I've places orders for Pharaonix through them with wonderful results.
Results with special orders are very dependent upon the designer. Some designers have a more challenging time with timeliness and accuracy of special orders.
Events often have vendors- which is nice as you get to try them on.

great loops are on Dahlal - try searching for the word "great loop". Audrena.com also has them - perhaps under a different name.

Bellas are only available through her website, or for sale used here - which is why I don't own one - I think you need a password for her website. Too complicated for me!

You can order directly from Bella just by sending her an email and asking if she'll take on a new client. Then you just send her your measurements and want kind of costume you'd like. A couple of months later, a beautiful new Bella arrives at your door... and it fits perfectly!

Audreena gave me such a great deal on a custom great loop. She needs a deposit and it take a few months to come. That design seems to hold its value.

Puhlllleeze! sewing and me are like oil and water. Plus my creativity quotient is a -7. No, no, if I were to have a costume, I'd purchase a custom costume all the way.

I've been to the above mentioned websites and frankly wouldn't order anything I see. The colors are garish and the style is not what I usually go for. But then I will see these gorgeous things bhuzzers have bought from said sites and I think "Where was THAT one when I was looking?"

I searched under Great loop on Dahlal's site and the only ones that came up were not colors I would wear.

I did however love almost every costume I saw on....Oh darn, can't remeber her name, but I think she is in Israel and she has advertised here before. Hers are very pretty.
