    GAH!!! Nothing fits! Thanks, pregnant belly. :(

    So I'm dancing this weekend for the first time in months at a hafla in Baltimore. I tried on some stuff this morning, and although I can get my hips into my skirts just fine, the ends of my bra straps do not come within hollering distance of each other. I'm carrying really high, doggone it.

    Me, taken yesterday, at 26 weeks.* My boobs look small in comparison to my belly, but they are enormous. My rib cage is 42" now and still getting bigger.

    Anyway, I could prolly just suck it up and wear a big ol galabeya, but because they're essentially just big tents, I look like one big undefined mountain of LUMP. My self-esteem has taken enough hits lately what with the stretch marks EVERYWHERE and the zits and the big ol ass - I don't think I can take wearing a tent out in public. ,r:;

    *and OMG I have SO FREAKING FAR YET TO GO. Headdesk headdesk headdesk. ..cr.:

    You look beautiful! Enjoy the baby-making time....pretty soon there will just be fat with no baby inside (not to be harsh, but I found that out the hard way when this former size 10 couldn't even fit into 3X pants for months after giving birth).

    Maternity stores often carry bra extenders, if the cups will still work but the band doesn't meet (they're usually big white things, so this will work only if you have a vest or choli to wear over it).

    A preggo belly in a galabeya sounds adorable though. :)

    Aw Weese, don't despair Honey. I have been blessed to see 4 very pregnant women perform in my life and each of them were amazing and memorable. It's very moving to watch a pregnant woman dance.

    Could you borrow a larger bra from a friend? Do you have anything that ties around the ribcage like a choli or a Wrap top? You can also pick up a bra extender from places like JoAnn Fabrics. Simply make a "tube" of fabric that matches your bra to cover it.

    Yes, what is UP with the zits? I have backne for the first time ever. UGH.

    Wow you are carrying really high - isn't that supposed to mean something about the gender? It's very obvious that you're pregnant - which is a good thing. You probably would look nice in a two piece, just braving the big belly, if you could find a way to get your bra to fit.

    I just had to buy a new costume for the giant b00bs of pregnancy. And amazingly my spouse told me that I should get another one! OK...whatever you say dear (quickly back to bellydancestore.biz)...

    Yeah, I've had acne with the pregnancy too, it really sucks. I'm carrying really low (and I already dropped) so I didn't have the bra issue. Actually, I'm mad that I haven't gotten more boobs, I'm normally a 32 A/B and I'm still wearing my same bras, I just took the padding out. I only have like 2 weeks to go, so no boobs for me till milk comes I guess. Just a larger butt. ,r:;

    Supposedly, that means that I'm having a girl... which I am. ..g.: For once, the old wives' tales are right!

    And GAAAAAAAAH on the zits!!! by the time I clear one up, five more have popped up. My face is totally bumpy from all the whiteheads that have appeared. LOVELY.

    Alas, no. the show is on Sunday and I don't have time to make anything before then, either. :/ I might end up wearing one of my regular bras but with a scarf wrapped all around it. Profeshunal.

    And I'm a dolt, because I totally missed that you said you only had two weeks to go. Duh. ;) I'm sooooooooooooo jealous.... I wish I were that close! I'm totally ready to be able to walk without waddling and bend over without turning purple from lack of oxygen already.

    Lucy, can you whip up a quick bra extender using matching grosgrain ribbon? Just double over the ribbon a couple times so it is sturdy and sew it to one end of the bra and then add hooks/snaps where needed?

    if it's an egyptian bra, did it come with armbands and anklets and such? you could use those to extend the back of the bra.

    for the future, you could rig up something to extend the bra back and then get a cute L Rose U top to wear over it. having the shoulders and upper arms covered helps balance out the enormous belly and boobage. :)

    hang in there! carrying babies is hard work! but it's worth it. once they're adults. snort. :)

    This helps a lot. I wore a Melo twist top under my bra when 8months.

    Yeah, my due date is suppose to be March 25, but I'm apparently already 1 to 2 cm dilated, and my doctor things it'll happen around 38 weeks, which is around March 13th. It's getting increasingly harder to move, especially since the baby has dropped, I really feel it after walking and bumpy car rides. You'll make it, time will go by faster than you think! ..g.:

    I'm also getting major pregnancy forgetfulness/ditziness. I've been feeling quite spazzey lately.
