How exactly do you decorate a shamadan?

Hello! I'm looking for specific methods for attaching decorations to a shamadan....I love the look of lots of shiny stuff, but I don't know how to put it together...

I searched the threads, and found these. There are some great ideas here, but I've still got questions, LOL!

1.) How do you attach chains of crystals, and individual hanging crystals? Are there special hooks or jewelry jumpers that you use? Glue?

2.) I saw on the other posts that glue is good for flat crystals- what is the best type of glue to use? (brands would be helpful)

3.) Is it still possible to clean the shamadan with brass polish/ or something when it's decorated?

4.) Does glue ruin the brass over time? (Would it be better to not decorate?)

I would love to see photos as well!
    Thanks you!

Re: How exactly do you decorate a shamadan?

Swarovski crystal beads , BEAD , BICONE , WHOLESALE PRICES , DISTRIBUTOR SWAROVSKI BEADS , AUSTRIAN BEADS , SWAROVSKI CRYSTAL , SWAROVSKI STRASS SWAROVSKI CRYSTAL , FIRE POLISHED CZECH BEADS , CZECH BEADS , FIREPOLISHED BEADS , CRYSTALS CRYSTAL CHRIS has chain used for chandeliers. (good prices too) Use a polishing cloth is easier for me.
Glue you can use e-6000 very powerful glue (always have acetone nail polish remover handy in case of skin contact) I don't think the glue would ruin the brass. Got to let the glue dry for a good 24 hours.
    I hope this helps

Glue any flat stuff, hanging stuff can either be soldered directly to the metal (assuming wire, not string, are used as hangers), or by drilling a tiny hole and hooking (think earring) or tying it in.

Someone in one of the above referenced threads suggested plastic crystals - an excellent idea (why didn't I think of that?). They're not quite as pretty as the glass ones of course, but they're plenty "good enough" and will allow a lot more to be added without overbalancing the Shemadan.
