    Good strapless stay put bras?

All of my strapless bras fall down. All of them.

I normally wear straps but sometimes I have to wear something with a wide neckline or somesuch that means a strapless.

Suggestions to make them stay put, aside from cement?

yeah, heh that's on my list. I'm using double sided tape now and it doesn't hold up though, so not sure if that would either!

Is there such a thing as heavy c-cups? :-)

Here's a thread I started a while back about that very thing. I'm actually a DD now and it still stays up.

what works for you totally depends on your shape. I used to swear by this stretch lace strapless bra that had silicone stitched across the topline of the cups, but after a couple kids, anything tight across the top of my boobs split them in half in a very unpretty way. ;)

that left me with hard cup styles, which gave great shape, but never stay up well on me.

when I'm desperate for strapless, I combine the two: I wear a shaped cup bra, with a supertight stretchy bra over it. the styles with silicone stitched along the back straps definitely help.

Ooh...I might have to try that too.

I had to use hard cup (with rubber lines in the sides no less) for this dress, but yeah, it slid a lot! I tried clear plastic straps at first but they dig in and create red lines and they sliiiiide to become loose!

I ended up using the regular straps for the bra, taped down near the armpit, with a sports bra over it and tucked under the edge to help stop the sliding, with the sport straps tucked in the top.

Sheesh! Maybe I'll just add a little loop to hold the bra straps in next time I wear that dress!

I keep hearing all these good things about Lane Bryant bras...the only problem is I'm not big enough for them, lol!

(to clarify that - I wish I could fit into their bras!)

I swear I have the weirdest boobs for bra fitting.

I have a silicone self adhesive bra that is strapless and backless - I think the name is Shantilla Lite. I got it at Wal-mart. It's hand-washable. I haven't worn it for dancing yet but did wear it with a backless gown for my 40'th b-day party. I'm a DD cup and everything stayed in place perfectly all evening through all the partying and hugs. It takes a bit of practice to get it on just right but once you get the hang of it, it's comfortable.

The tape idea again...LOL, if only they could see us. BTW, I removed a costume from a beautiful 36B "sweet nothings" strapless bra purchased here on Bhuz a few weeks ago to attach to a larger one. Much too nice to toss out, has sturdy comfy sides - free to first pm

On the tape issue - how do you remove it from the costume? I just had it on my regular bra (thankfully) and the stuff will not come off!

(Glad I didn't use it on my lycra costume!)

do those really work???? i've seen some at victori secret..they looked like a good idea..btu you can't return them..and i was worried they only worked for smaller, perkier breasts...unlike mine... but if you say they work then i'll have to give them a shot!

Well, like I mentioned, I haven't tried dancing in them yet but they seemed to work pretty well. They stayed in place and once you place them right (takes practice) they can give a nice shape to the bust. The ones at Walmart were only around $20 so it's worth a shot. I just got a new dance top that is off the shoulder so I'll have to try it with that someday.
