Re: Interesting! Brows don't have to match...
I def. wouldn't call that jet black - it actually doesn't look unnatural at all to me - my eyebrows actually are almost jet black and my natural color is more golden brown (at least last I remember). ...

... I've actually read somewhere that the two eyebrows are supposed to be sisters, not twins

(waves Hi Mish Mish!!) I never liked Mariel's look.. For me it was like the eyebrows dominated her face. Whenever I think of radically darker eyebrows, it reminds me of Madonna here:http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_79LEEJivcD..._122_548lo.jpg Not my cup of tea.

Re: Interesting! Brows don't have to match...
There was a girl in my grade school who had golden blonde hair and dark eyebrows. I'm pretty sure hers was natural, since we were 10 at the time. So I guess it IS natural for some women?
I sometimes dye my eyebrows darker just so I can have facial expressions like real people.

Re: Interesting! Brows don't have to match...
I think the brows in the photo suit the model, and I agree with the person who said that those aren't jet-black brows. They're a brown, and as her hair also has warm almost-brown tones in it, there isn't a harsh contrast, IMO.
And, Zum, I think your brows suit you, too. They give you a rakish, mischievous air, and judging by your BHUZ posts, that's you to a T.

Oh but surely she looks so much BETTER now her brows and hair match? After all, there are two pages of posts here saying brows should match hair to be attractive, right?
Two shades darker is never wrong.

Re: Interesting! Brows don't have to match...
I was thinking they didn't have to match in color. Like one could be blue and the other blond or green or ... missing.I thought you meant that your two eyebrows don't have to match and I got all excited. My left one has a nicer arch than my right one, but I kind of like that they aren't totally symmetrical
My brows went from being really light when I was a toeheaded kid to being fairly dark as a blond adult. (I think you can kind of see my hair in my profile pic) and I've never done anything except make sure they didn't grow together. I darken them when I dance or my face seems to disappear on stage.
My very redheaded boyfriend has very pale blond brows (which incidentally are growing together despite my best efforts) that he hates. He keeps saying he's going to dye his hair black so he can have darker eyebrows.

Re: Interesting! Brows don't have to match...
Ok...I don't want to be a poo on what everyone says....
But I am a very pale, natural blonde. I have been told...all my life..please dye your brows...please get a tan... the natural blonde look is not popular. I have been thought of as a white wallflower for years. So this is no news to me. Natural blondes- This is our fate! We look washed-out all the time, so we have to darken things and golden things to match the popular look.

I'm not weighing in on the tatoos thing; I've got enough of my Mother in the back of my mind to be thinking "If you're going to be doing something as barbaric as getting a tatoo" (I've got 2, bTW)
I just want to congratulate eneryone. In two pages of some howlingly funny dialogue about matching hair and brows, no one has brought up the obvious "collars and cuff" (from James Bond). Or Carpet and Curtains.
Oh. I just did.
