Dark brows, light hair...

i have brown-ish eyebrows but dirty blonde hair. naturally (never dyed my hair or brows).
anything else on me just looks weird. plus when i play up my eyebrows with colored pencil my hazel-green eyes look even brighter. so it all works out

I don't know about that, call me old fashioned I guess. I guess it just screams to me "Look! I am not a natural blond!" I find it a bit distracting. I do always end it with the caveat "to each his own".

I thought you meant that your two eyebrows don't have to match and I got all excited. My left one has a nicer arch than my right one, but I kind of like that they aren't totally symmetrical!

Well duh. Tradition holds that your brows should be two shades darker than your hair anyway. And most people's brows are darker than their head hair. An old friend of mine had naturally honey-blonde hair, soft black eyebrows, olive skin and blue eyes. It didn't look wrong, it looked nice.

I've got black eyebrows and I'm damned if I'll lighten them to please anyone now that my hair is light in colour. My eyebrows are my *thing*.

I find really dark brows and light hair distracting, too. Not good IMO.

Having seen some old photos of myself with horrible bleached hair and black brows...it was not good.

It's quite popular here to completely shave your brows and have words tattooed in the shape of brows. Anywhere else?

I have never heard tell of something such as this.

Actually, it would probably be Halo olaH or olaH Halo, depending on what kind of arch you wanted. Or we could go with your concept of non-matching brows on the same face, in which case, we would do the original: Halo Halo. But it might look like you were constantly looking to your left.

This is a funny thread. I like darker eyebrows and have seen it occur naturally quite often. Mine match though; but I have really dark hair and dark brows

I've always heard, especially with evening or stage make-up, that you should go fairly dark with your brows to balance the ravishing lips. And Mariel Hemingway made it work for her.
