    In like a lion!
I finished my craptastic metallic lace skirt, but in pictures it actually looks good. I want to add a ruffle to the side.
Want to have enough time time to make a new bra out of my vintage 1920's lame'. Real metal fabric BTW.

daisy-that looks pretty good! i love the ruching on the bra
i am going to help my mom make a costume for her student recital :)
i will try and finish up my green & burgundy costume. it is sahar influenced so i'm not sure what to add to the skirt as far as detailing since i do like a lot of bling but i might just keep it simple since the bows on the bra and skirt are interesting enough
then i shall work on my red & black lace costume project. flamenco inspired and this will def. have more beading. i was going to have just a bra and skirt but i figured a bra and belt would be better to wear w/this particular skirt i got since i wasn't sure of adding beading to the skirt. so i will buy the belt base and work from that
    whew!

I plan to finish the pearl costume soon. I only have the looped fringe left, as well as some clasp adjustments. Let's see if I can get it done by the end of March!

I had never do ruching cups but I cutted a rectangular piece of fabric (like the double you need to cover the cup normally) and start hand sewing in the same middle and pull the thread, then I fixed into the bra cup and sewed with the machine and thats the result.

I was working on a black and turquoise costume but got waylayed by costumes for the 2nd grade musical. I finished a cabbage costume and a peapod, but I have 2 more peapods and 4 corn cobs to go. Oh, and Parsley. I have to make a Parsley costume.

I'm working on converting a black velvet evening dress in to a belly dance dress for a client. I've got lots more beadwork to go, but here's what I've got so far. I added a slit to the front and a fishtail to the back. I haven't done the straps yet, but it will be mostly backless. I installed a bra inside for support.

Working on a custom order. The coins will have chainette tassels and Indian bells when I'm done.

Thank you! The request was for green and orange, which always look gorgeous with copper.

I'm most of the way through a quick "Dress to bedlah" conversion. I am photodocumenting the process and will do a long blog post when I finish...then I trim the hem of my peacock costume and line the bra.

This collar will attach to the boob support system (made of gold stretch PVC, leather texture) of my coin costume that needs to be done by Wednesday's show. These are not attached yet, I was playing around with placement. I think I'll go with this design.

    Again with the ridiculous deadlines.

    ozma, that is GORGEOUS!

Azhia, my sewing machine is just a Kenmore that I bought in 1992. My serger is a White that I bought in 1996.

    Azhia,

Don't take this the wrong way, but to me the lower part of the design kind of looks like a koala's face!

I think it's the turquoise "nose". The stones look great though.

    OMG you're right!
    As long as I don't have "nipple eyes" I don't mind. ..l;,

I might have to surround the turquoise cabochon with some smaller beads...

I'm working on a leather coin bra to match a coin belt I made a while back. I've finished covering the bra in leather but still have to add the coins and chains. I wore it in rehearsal last night - figured I'd make sure it stayed together before I decorated it. Glad I did too - I found out I'm going to have to shorten the straps just a bit. Once I add all the coins the weight is going to pull it down even more so I need to shorten them. So far I'm liking this bra. The only downside is it is a two person operation to get into and out of since the straps cross in back. Glad my troupe mates are good friends. ..g.:
