ICU...new bra in dress
So I hate the ships prow bras in many costumes. My breasts are not wedge shaped as though they needed to be aerodynamic in flight. Many times they are also not tall enough to feel as though the old mares wont jump the fence cause it's too low - if you know what I mean.
So here it is.....the beginning of the new bra.....
needless to say...rebeading is me....Last edited by anala; 08-08-2010 at 08:03 PM.

I will watch this project with interest, Anala, as I am similarly "Egyptian Bra Challenged"...I've pretty much given up finding a pre-made costume bra that flatters. Feh.

Re: ICU...new bra in dress
Step one was to remove the fabric and lining from the old football shaped bra that came with the dress. This is not for the faint of heart. If you are at all lucky there will only be major jewels that have been sewn thru the fabric into the rigid plastic wedge that passes for a bra. If you are unlucky...or if your karma sucks like mine...the boob flower will be in your lap. Only do one side at a time so you can reconstruct the demolished one by looking at it's unmutilated companion.

Anala, you're a braver woman than I. Good luck. By the way, how is the blue cat project going?

He he...it is not...I really need to loose at least 10 for that one...so in a box it sits, waiting for me to be not such a fat cat! I am going to try and complete one project a month. That one is one the list for June.

Anala,
I started on this same kind of project but there were so many jewels and sequins sewn through that I set it aside. When i pick it up again I am going to take digital photos of the cup embellishment so I can replicate it as much as possible after putting in the new bra.
Are you adding additional lycra to cover the taller bra?

There was plenty folded under, but I have added onto another, but used silk to do it as you can never get an exact match. I will post a photo of that completed project this weekend.
