Evening all, I am so excited...I just purchased one of these lovelys. I am not sure if any of you have ever seen her product. She hails from my province of Ontario here in Canada. Near the capital Ottawa. She is a textile artist who practises the art of Japanese resist dyeing. OMG! Her veils are out of this world. One of a kind pieces. She vends on Ebay and has a website Shibori Borealis : One of a kind silk veils for belly dance, scarves and fabrics
I am always excited when I find awesome costuming and product. Check her out and tell her Susu sent ya!! I think.w.: I have attached the photo of the one I just purchased , 8 mm large half circle called Way Jay. It is for my solo piece in our upcoming show. Can't wait. Anyway check her goodies out. Beautiful product.

That's really sweet of you. You should comment on the product review forum too, so people can look it up there as well. It tends to be easier to sort through.:)

Once when Jes (of Akai Silks) was too busy to do an order for me she suggested I try Dar of Shibori Borealis...I've bought SEVERAL from her since then! GORGEOUS absolute TOP quality work on high end silk.

Re: Shibori Borealis Hand Dyed Sikl Veils
I am the proud owner of a Shibori Borealis veil as well ..g.:
Dar does exquisite work ..I also have a silk charmeuse piece of fabric that will be turned into a slinky dress once I can find a local seamstress that I trust with such precious fabric :)
It is a joy to be able to refer dancers to her that have not heard of her business yet ...not only is she a professional dyer but she knows and understands bellydance and is familiar with the dance community. You're not going to Taco Bell for burgers if you know what I mean. She loves the dance as we do, is knowledgeable about it, and I think that makes a BIG difference when it comes to creating a top notch product. Made for dancer by dancer, etc
another adoring fan :)

What she does with silk is pure art, it takes a lot of work and experience, kudos to Dar!
