Thread: Shibori Borealis Hand Dyed Sikl Veils

Evening all, I am so excited...I just purchased one of these lovelys. I am not sure if any of you have ever seen her product. She hails from my province of Ontario here in Canada. Near the capital Ottawa. She is a textile artist who practises the art of Japanese resist dyeing. OMG! Her veils are out of this world. One of a kind pieces. Once when Jes (of Akai Silks) was too busy to do an order for me she suggested I try Dar of Shibori Borealis...I've bought SEVERAL from her since then! GORGEOUS absolute TOP quality work on high end silk.

Dar does exquisite work ..I also have a silk charmeuse piece of fabric that will be turned into a slinky dress once I can find a local seamstress that I trust with such precious fabric :)

It is a joy to be able to refer dancers to her that have not heard of her business yet ...not only is she a professional dyer but she knows and understands bellydance and is familiar with the dance community. You're not going to Taco Bell for burgers if you know what I mean. She loves the dance as we do, is knowledgeable about it, and I think that makes a BIG difference when it comes to creating a top notch product. Made for dancer by dancer, etc
