Thread: HSBED! Do you have it?

A student from my performance group just emailed me to tell my that she cursed me all weekend because I have it! AND when all was said and done admitted that she now has it!

A little background....

The groups new gowns came in and I gave them beads and directions to add spot fringe, as the gowns had none. She did it and cursed me all the while! THEN she tried on the gown and danced and LOVED it!

What is HSBED?

Isn't it great that she has named it? We could start a support group but it would most likely turn into a enabler group now wouldn't it?

Ewwww! I actually want this disorder... I would bead everything. Can you post pictures (close up) so I can learn more about this disorder?

We need to pick a patron saint for HSBED! Who would yours be?

lol... I'm guessing it's an advanced stage of ADOS = Attention Deficit Oh Shiny!

And if we have a patron saint, that means we need an altar... I say disco balls and glitter streamers!

Oh yea I used to say I could quit any time also!! NOT! Now I just bring others into the fold to make myself feel more "normal"
I vote Cher! She has kept up the shiney for so long, we want her!!!
Not to mention she might just have some useful advice for us, all Saints should you know!
Does the alter get to have every color as well? I sure hope so because we with HSBED have to have our shiney in EVERY COLOR!

i quit a few years ago .... but then I got a bad case of Hyper Swarovski Embelishment Disorder,f::

I should bring back my disco ball Christmas tree for the altar.
and yes we do need it in more than one colour of course.

Hon, every color known to mankind and each in: shiny, glittery, iridescent, gradient, metallic, holographic, shiny holographic, glittery holographic, iridescent holographic, glittery iridescent, gradient glittery, shiny iridescent gradient, metallic gradient, gradient iridescent and iridescent gradient metallic glitter. Happy? ..g.: Heck, let's get access to petroleum-based chemicals and we can probably invent a ****load of colors!

And btw, I'll concede to "disorder" only if it gets me a special (and shiny) windshield sticker that gives me access to the big backstore door so I can backup my flatbed truck to load up all my goodies.

Can we apply for federal aid to reduce shipping from other countries as well, after all we do have a serious disoder!

Um... Probably not, but if we band together we might be able to get volume discounts from suppliers.

So, to re-cap:

-Cher is our patron saint
-Mackie is our "Spirit" or "Inspirator" (since Cher wore his stuff almost all the time. Bella Bella, we might have the same mental postal code!)
-Zeevah is our poster child
-Faaria is our movement founder/chief enabler
-our altar is a blindness-inducing rainbow of "shiny"

what else are we missing? code words? secret handshake? covert meeting place? (or if we are out in the open, a sponsor? *wiggles brows*

I think we should start local chapters to help or poor unadorned sisters who have HSBED and don't know it yet! THEN a national convention complete with key note speakers! Anyone know a great Doc. who wears much bling? Ask her to speak!
Tee shirts anyone? Kind of like the got milk ones, "Got HSBED?" in glitter letters of course!
