Thread: Does my hair bother you?

I'm in the process of filtering through my last photo shoot. These pictures still have to be cropped & background edited, etc...

I was wondering if you thought these two were worth working on. Is there one picture you like more than the other? Does the amount of hair in front of my chest bother you?

They're both gorgeous! Sorry, I couldn't help you decide, but no - the hair doesn't bother me at all.

Yes, I do think the hair is a bit messy. Sorry.

But of the two, the first one. The second one is too flat-on and the legs are very foreshortened. Also, I don't like photos which show massive expanses of under-chin - it's just a personal thing of mine.

The hair doesn't bother me. Number one is nice. It's my fav. I don't like the second one at all.

I like the hair, I am envious of anyone who has long healthy hair, so that's cool. I like the second picture. It shows off those cool hip designs on your costume, which by the way is so unique.

I think your hair is gorgeous! I do like seeing some hair accouterments, though, like headbands and/or ornaments. I think it ties the costume together together a little more than loose hair, but it's also a personal preference.

BEAUTIFUL! I like the first one better, the hair on the second one bugs me a little bit but not enough to pull my hair out haha

I like your hair a lot. You might want to define the curls more in the future, so it looks a little more styled, but I think your hair looks pretty.

I think the first photo is better than the second one; I think angles work best with photos than something dead on.

...although they're both beautiful (no, your hair doesn't bother me:)).

I wish I could show you another pic that was taken later on in the shoot. I get the feeling that the curls get a little weighed down during movement because of the weight of my hair. They seem to be much more defined when I'm actually posing. I can't seem to upload another picture though!? ..c::

Lovely photos. I don't mind the hair placement. Like the costume too.

Love the hair, prefer the first picture. However, the first one's camera angle makes your arm & hand look disproportionately large to me. Fortunately, the arm and hand are attractive!

Love the color palette with your skin and hair.

I guess I'm the only one who likes picture #2.

Both are lovely though. And the hair is fine with me.

I like both of them, I think your hair is gorgeous. In my opinion the waves look more natural (are they?) and therefore more exotic.

I think your hair is beautiful in both photos. I prefer the angle and pose in #1.

For me your hair looks windswept and a bit 'wild' (it's lovely!), but the rest of the picture looks polished, serene and calm. So I feel there is a disconnect. If you were wearing animal print and going "rar" with wild hair it would fit more. Or if the setting looked a bit more 'windswept' (outside, in a forest/beach) it would fit for me more. In a studio with everything polished, I'd get the straighteners on it.

I think these shots are fine to use though.

They are enhanced by Aveda's "Be Curly" products (which I LOVE). It wouldn't work on straight hair. You need a bit of Curl to get the Oomph from the product

No, I love the hair - as someone else said - it's a bit wild!
But to give it a cleaner line, you could re-take the photos without the hair.
Out of curiousity - is that a Hanan with another skirt worn underneath? How clever is that!

I don't think its a Hanan... there is no designer label in the costume. Just says "Made in Egypt."
I bought the chiffon and attached it to the openings in a more ruffled way to give it that fuller skirt look
