How, how, how do you do this????
How do you get the glitter to stick to your lips??? I've tried all kinds of techniques and nothing works.
Help!

apply a long wearing lipstick(like the kind that's supposed to get its own top coat).
before it dries gently pat in micro-fine glitter.
let it set.
it will stay on really well but is obviously not the most comfortable thing to wear. you can do the same pat-in technique with regular lipstick but it won't stay on nearly as long and will be prone to smudge

Eye Kandy can go on the lips. I have some in a deep red, it's glorious.

I use lipgloss or long-lasting lipstick that has a glossy 'sealer' and pat the glitter on top of that. Added benefit: because of the glitter your veil/hair won't stick to your lips anymore and they still feel happy and moisturized because of the gloss underneath.

Re: How, how, how do you do this????
I haven't tried this on my lips, but I had great results last night on my eyes: I applied eye kandy glitter with she-laq, using a flat brush about the size of my pinkie nail. I fanned it dry, and then misted a coat of ben nye sealer over it. it was a bit stiff and crunchy feeling at first, but when it got good and set, it stayed in a nice even coat and didn't crease or flake off all night.
I'm sure it would work with lips, too. but if you've got the long wear lipstick with gloss that would probably feel more comfy.

Re: How, how, how do you do this????
Thanks everyone for the advice.
I have some Eye Kandy, but I must "moisten" my lips after applying, thus creating a "line" of glitter. I didn't try the liquid that came with it. Should I?
Also, I have the red Benefit lipstick and glitter and the same thing happens. It sort of disappears. When I ordered the Benefit, it didn't come with "how to apply" directions.
I must not be doing something right :-(,

You can use EyeKandy for your lips. Use the liquid sugar that came with your kit. Use a thicker brush, dip it into the sugar, then into the glitter pod of your choice and then onto your lips. Be sure to allow the sugar to dry completely. I know of a dancer who earlier this month at a hafla (and to celebrate St. Patrick's Day), wore a greenish lipstick that she found, then applied EyeKandy's Pixie Stick color on top of that. And I know of another dancer who used (I believe) Cherry Bomb on her lips. Have fun with it!

The cheaper way to do it is to use KY jelly and facial grade glitter. Dip your brush in the KY, then in the glitter pot, then dab it on the lips or eyes. Stays on pretty well once it dries, don't use too much KY on the brush. Sally Beauty supply has some teeny bopper cosmetics that include some 99 cent glitters in lots of colors.
