So if you had to dance with a band aid on your face...

Without going into the gory details, I have to cover a small area on my cheek with a bandage tonight, there's no just covering this with makeup or even the liquid bandage stuff. Small and up close setting. Gah!
Would you just stick in on and be done with it? Cover over it with makeup? Glue rhinestones to it and try to make it look like a decoration  ?
I tried the "clear" circles, but the center is not even close to skin tone and the plastic covering is kind of shiny, so I might "custom make" one by cutting up a fabric one. I feel so silly, worried about a little bandaid... but it is so utterly un-glamourous looking! If anybody has any tips to minimize the effect, I'd appreciate them.

If it's a small blemish, could you make a fake mole out of the piece of bandaid? Where is your owie?

It's on my cheek... A fake mole... Could work! Beats balancing a rubber chicken on my head to distract people!

If it's small enough, and you have the stuff, you might be able to cover it with a dot bandaid, blend some dermablend or other heavy matte makeup over that, then put on a star, heart or other simple design painted on with eye kandy (or with eyelash glue and glitter) like a temporary tattoo? If you put a matching design on your shoulder and one at your waist?

    Just a thought.

I'm not sure where you are in the world, Khalima, and what brands are available to you, but I'd use one of the "Advanced healing" products from band-aid.

Like this one: Band Aid Advanced Healing Dressing Regular 10 - ePharmacy

They're like gel. No fabric backing. And they really do disappear. They come in different sizing.

I had to perform a couple years ago with road rash on my hand from a fall I had taken earlier in the day. It was pretty ugly and A bandage would have been really obvious. I had some of these and put one on and from a couple feet away, you couldn't see it at all.

If you can find them in the smallest size, you might be able to make it work on your face.

Don't they sell clear band aids near you? I would try to make it a beauty mark too. Good luck!!!

Re: So if you had to dance with a band aid on your face...

You guys are awesome. I had to go before I could read all of the posts, but I am filing these ideas away for future reference. I used a little circle of bandaid with makeup over it, it was still a little darker than my skin, and told myself it looked just like a birthmark.
Michelle, the "clear" I bought had a white center with little orange dots, not pictured on the box so I couldn't tell until I opened it. Why anyone would want a "clear" bandaid with such an odd looking center I'll never know.
And I learned something new: Crystals do not stick to bandaids with eyelash glue :)
Thanks for all the great ideas. I felt silly posting, but I knew if there was a fix, bhuzzers would think of it :).

Yup, thanks, I went out and completely forgot all about my "new birthmark."
