Re: Those little footie things that the BDSS wear
I read on several sites that you should get that particular Bloch shoe 2-3 sizes smaller than your US street shoe size. I did some more research and found a forum somewhere online where people were discussing size and I determined from that that I should order the 4 (my street shoe size is a 6.5). They were too small. Had they been leather there might have been enough stretch eventually to make them work, but the canvas was NOT giving way (I even tried to manually stretch them). Reordered in a 4.5C (C is medium width), and they are perfect (and will still fit well if they eventually do stretch a touch) :-)

Oh good, I am a street 7.5 and ordered a 5.5C. I'll let you know how they fit.

I'm hesitating between the pro elastic and the breeze shoe. ANyone had any experience with the breeze shoe?

Re: Those little footie things that the BDSS wear
I just got my Bloch pro-elastics. They are SUPER nice and I like the split sole much better than standard ballet slippers. I got 2 sizes smaller than my street size and a C width. They are also a really pretty color, paler than online, like an European pink. My only tiny complaint is that they are not super tapered around my toes, but I think my toes are narrowly tapered. Maybe a B (narrow) width would fix this, but I'm not bothered enough to exchange them.

Dance Shoes, Dancewear, Dance Clothes, Ballet Apparel, Leotards and more from Just For Kix - carries the Bloch shoe and others that would work; reasonably-prices, super-quick delivery.

Re: Those little footie things that the BDSS wear
Just wanted to add:
I got both the pro-elastics and the capezio breeze. Both are awesome. The pro-elatics have more cushioning than the breeze, but the breeze has more "grip", which is awesome when doing level changes.
Overall, both are very good. I think the Bloch would be good for drilling when fairly stationary and the Capezio would be better for practicing choreo, but you could use either one in both situations and be fine. On a personal note, I think I like the Capezio slightly better looks-wise, but the Bloch makes me want to point my foot all the time, even just walking around in them.
HTH,
Kem

Re: Those little footie things that the BDSS wear
i'm in love with 'breeze'! i bought from a shop they only have black and they are so cute and make my huge feet look nice. i ordered the bloch shoes online but they look ugly and i got ones that were too big so i returned them.
the only problem is that whatever shoes i wear they get too slippery very quickly. i tried using the metal brush thing and found it useless. maybe i don't brush enough. now i put some surgical tape which have rough surface on the sole. it works for a while and then i have to change the tape. anyone have better method?
