Thread: Whats Up With Bellydancestore.biz...scary monster picture!

I just went to bellydancestore.biz only to see that it looks like it has been hacked or something. All this weird text and then a freaky monster picture!!
Is this happening to anyone else trying to access the site today ?.w.:

Oh dear! It looks hacked, but not even well hacked. I hope it's not too difficult for them to fix it.

I see it, too. That stinks. I hope they're able to fix it easily!

I was scared it might have been a virus! Jeez what an evil force to try and stop us from looking at the pretty costumes !

Want a real scare? I'm scared that they might have credit card numbers and address info on their servers and the hackers got that.

The website is still there with all content, all that happened is that the front page was replaced. But, indeed what Jasani says, the possibility that customer information may have gotten stolen is what is really, really scary.

Wow, that's pretty freaky and scary! Hope it gets fixed soon.

Apparently the hackers are heavy metal fans - that monster is [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eddie_the_Head"]Eddie[/ame], Iron Maiden's mascot for nearly 30 years.

I saw it too. I thought I had a virus. I hope our information is secure-I have a current layaway with them :(

I think they actually process credit payment info with Paypal (at least that did mine), so I would think that would be ok, as it would be housed elsewhere.

well I wont be purchasing anything from there. That is definitely a hacker sign and s/hes marking the site to let people know who s/he is and that she has/had taken control of the information on that site.

Not secure to buy from there at all.

ETA; If you should buy something from there, I would suggest doing it via phone or email, email her, and ask for an account not connected to her website to send your personal info to.

P.S.S I just called her and told her. She had no idea. She also said shes going to be looking into it today. So keep checking back to see if it comes down.

They have the old frontpage back up (which was the only thing that had been changed). I hope that they take the necessary steps, which may include reinstall software, patch (so that the intruders can't get in again at will), and if there is a chance that personal info could have been compromised, contact those who may be effected.

Site seems to be back to normal. Im going to email them to make sure my account is safe. I pay by paypal with them so hopefully its all safe.

Oh my! For some reason it doesn't really show in any of the pictures...but there are built in pink shorts underneath the sheer skirt part.

All the Mamdouh's are that price.

Ah...must be the crystals around the bottom of the shorts that account for that price tag. The skirt looks like the end piece of a chiffon sari. Pretty bra, though.
