Re: Do you love it or hate it?
I think somebody already said this, but it looks WAY too much like a Turkish Airport Special to even be endearing to me. Not to mention, I really had to focus in on the snake to tell what it was. The flaccid shape and flesh color are quite distracting - it needs to be more distinctly python-shaped, with the diamond-shaped head and all.
I actually love snake-inspired costumes when they're done appropriately and worn by the right dancer, though!

Re: Do you love it or hate it?
Snakes on a costume aren't off-putting to me - I liked Jillina's hot pink snake costume. I think it's kind of cute, wacky colors, fringe, and all..I agree if I already had 10 costumes & wanted something different this might be the thing. However, it does seem overpriced for just a bedleh, not a full costume. And the snakes need to be more well-defined. I had to look for a bit to confirm they're snakes.

fugly. that's what that costume is. I think a snake or serpent motif twisting around the waist & shoulders would be really cool if it were embroidered in beads and sequins on a mesh background & looked like a snake. This looks like some sort of skin growth or flesh roll. aside from the fact that the entire rest of the costume is kind of busy & not to my taste, the snake looks awkward and cumbersome.Last edited by Jessani; 04-18-2009 at 07:27 AM.

The model can obviously make any cossie look good. I can't, so nope...don't care for it.

That's exactly what I was thinking. It looks like someone stuffed a skinny suntan-colored pantyhose leg and wrapped it around an already fugly bedlah.
Still no match for the uglies at my local UBDC superstore....but I'm hoping the owner there doesn't get any ideas and start ordering the Turkish Airport Knockoff Version

I don't like this particular expression, but I might like the idea. I don't like the colours of this one - hate stripey fringe, not a big fan of multicolouredness (sorry), and the snake needs to be more well-defined as a snake rather than a fleshy worm in drag.
However...
I like the idea that it's wired and therefore can be "posed" in different places on the costume. With the right fabric/decoration/execution, I actually think this is a pretty funky idea. That said, I confess to really, really, REALLY wanting a snakeskin-print costume, because I am tacky like that. ..g.:

Not keen on it...colour combo is not for me.

I don't mind the snake aspect, but I dislike the costume's striped fringe and color combination. It needs to be toned down! In another color and without the stripey fringe, I might go for it.
