Thread: crazy print/color costumes?

show me some pics of some awesome crazy print/color cossies! :)

i need some inspiration. I think I've found an 'easy' way to embellish a cossie (by choosing a crazy print and just beading along with the pattern) but I wanna see some pics first before I begin to do anything :)

Some Sahars are like that: Belly Dance Store.com BellydanceStore.biz used to have a gorgeous floral Sahar with beading to match the flowers.

Ooh, I love the colour scheme of the one at Dahlal's!

I don't own anything remarkably crazy, as the gold-holographic-leopard print-combination is quite a common thing among costumes. However, I am very intrigued about flower prints... I have this dream image of a costume - red and green flowers on a white base, with red and clear sparklies. Who knows, I might make it true one day!

And just to illustrate my thought a bit (because I realised that flowers on a white base does not really sound half as intriguing as it looks in my head) - something like that, only in different colours

kiyaana- i remember that sahar! i tihnk someone recently posted a pic of it in one of the other threads.
maariku- i know what u mean about the flower prints but i'm never sure which one would be right for bellydance. i always see these pretty flower print fabrics that would be great for polynesian but i don't need to make another polynesian costume so i've been toying with the idea of a flower-y bellydance costume, too.

here's some crazy cool fabric i was eyeing. not sure if it would be 'too much' for a bd costume tho but i love hanan does them!

One of my really fun costumes is a black-and-white leopard print Eman with huge sequinned red rose appliques on the hips and the bra. I love the mix of floral and animal themes. It's very Carrie Bradshaw!

I'm kind of a fabric junkie - even before I started making dance costumes - so I looooooove finding funky fabric. My crazy fabrics (so far) are my Candy Costume (right side on my site, Kiyaana.com/ and Lipstick Jungle (fabric has sparkly red micro dots) http://www.bhuz.com/file/pic/gallery/18507.jpg. My sherbet isn't crazy, but the focus is the fabric (I have a skirt from the fabric, too) http://www.bhuz.com/file/pic/gallery/14831.jpg.

love them all! i'm trying to not buy loads of yards of fabric but it's kind of hard when spandexworld and spandexhouse both have a $20 order minimum hehe

Hey Satin...I have a similiar Eman too...GREAT costume! I have a cool crazy one from Invoke the Goddess Designs...it is on the cover of the DVD coming out For Dancers by Dancers..it is one of my favorites!

I am making one right now that is so crazy!!! But can't post pics yet - all hush hush still =)
