What's your dream costume?
Maybe it's just me, but there seems to be lots of posts relating to costuming issues these days, and I thought it would be nice to dream out loud a bit (so we can all go back to work on those costumes fully refreshed! *g*)
So with that in mind, please tell us what your absolute dream costume is.
-What style is it?
-Designer?
-Color?
-Cut?
-Fit?
-Accessories?
-How much bling is on this baby?
-Any particularities to make it more you/easy to care for/unique/ect...?
So dream on, ladies... (Literally. *g* And you can dream more than once too!)
Please share,
Kem.

Re: What's your dream costume?
My dream costume would never need adjusting, because it would fit me no matter how much weight I gained/lost. It would always have a lot of sparkle, and would adjust to different kinds of lighting so it always looked perfect. The color would change to suit my mood. It would never smell, never need cleaning, and would be free...it would just appear in my closet one day.
Hows that for dreaming??..l;,

Re: What's your dream costume?
LMAO It is a very good one indeed.
Ok, I must admit that I was expecting something more along the lines of "a gorgeous peach-pink Bella with..."
Sometimes I hear ppl say they like xyz on a costume and I don't know why. Just wondering if I may be missing out on some things. That and I just like to hear people dream out loud... Makes me wanna dream too. *g*

Re: What's your dream costume?
My perfect costume would fit like a glove, be extremely comfortable, and make me look 20 years younger.

Re: What's your dream costume?
My dream costume is actually a sort of capsule wardrobe for a BDer, idea slightly stolen from a nice Eman set I saw. IT IS an embellished bra, matching lycra skirt, matching lycra sexy galabeya and matching belt/scarf, which effectively gives you at least three costumes with the addition of different skirts, pants etc.
The set I saw was in a nice antique gold, which would not suit me at all, but if it was, hmm, a rich emerald or deep red or .... yeah. I'd like that!

Re: What's your dream costume?
Mine would be one that has a TRUE DD cup that lifted the girls UP! The bra would be a pleasing shape, no cones, no flat cups! Just a nice round look! The halter straps would be lined so the beads don't cut in.
The skirt would be lycra with a trumpet skirt with a split!
It would be dripping with fringe and beading. It would have gaunlets, a U top (if I wanted a different look), It would have arm bands with beautiful chiffon drapes for another look. It would come with a matching necklace and earrings of the same beads the costume is made of. It would come with a matching chiffon veil AND a silk veil!
When I order it it will come in a reasonable amount of time, like right away because I NEED it now!..g.:
It would cost under $200!
Well this IS a dream isn't it? ..l;,

My dream costume would give me super powers like Iron Man, imagine a crime fighting, lazer shooting, through the air flying, bad ass bellydancer and you'll get the idea!

Re: What's your dream costume?
first, it would pink leopardskin, two piece, with black rhinestones. The bra would be the style that Randa wears that makes her breasts look so amazing, and the skirt would be a Hanan style - possible with the big belt buckle cutouts and black chiffon inset. Elastic waist of course. Lots of hanging beads because I need something to shimmy. No fringe on the bra aside from two jewels dripping down the center.
Halter neck from the front but actually has two center straps going down the back (hard to describe but my best fitting costume has this).
elastic waist so that it could expand or contract as necessary. but somehow would never fall off (now that would be hard to engineer!!)
would have optional floaty sleeves/armlets.
the ultimate costume would be convertible to one piece with an easily attachable black mesh belly cover.
No AB crystals because they fall off and are a pain in the butt to get back on!

Re: What's your dream costume?
The awesome egyptian heavily beaded skirt and top ensembles (no belt, just the skirt) that would ACTUALLY STAY PUT so I don't have to tug them up every 10 shimmies.

Re: What's your dream costume?
ooh dangerous thread.
if i were a millionaire and dancing all the time... (lol):
dream colors: bright yellow, bright blue, yellow/blue, bright pink/bright turquoise-light blue, bright orange/turquoise, bright salmon color, bright yellow/silver, light brown, light blue/white
style?: 1001 nights. the 'tempest' style. the 'venus' style. the 'sweet' escape. the pharaonics 'enchantment'. an unusual bella (altho if i have enough money this summer it might happen :) ).
a costume with those crazy strappy sleeves (the kind that sandra used to have). 'dina' style cups cuz they're so flattering. a tight fitting skirt cuz belts are a pain in the butt to adjust. lots of bling, no room for 'simplicity' here!
oh and something with scarabs..can ya tell i can't think of the 'ONE' perfect costume? hehehehe

Re: What's your dream costume?
The elastoc waist might be feasible if your waist has a casing: use maternity elastic. It has buttonholes all along, so if you leave a bit of a length inside, you can adjust (even on the fly if you leave a bit of the casing open.
Now... *lowers voice* would you happen to have a pic of that bra that makes boobies look amazing? ..g.:

Re: What's your dream costume?
BTW, I forgot to mention my dream costume.
It's a heavily coined/mirrored bedlah (inc. belly drape), with a a split circle skirt. The skirt's material is diaphanous, but because the skirt is so voluminous/layered, only the bottom is see-through. Some days, I imagine the costume in gold with a gold sheen chiffon for the skirt, some days I imagine it as a silver bedlah and a turquoise skirt. The costume is completed with a coin headpiece and one coin anklet. No jewelry needed with this puppy because it's already dripping in metal. (And it would be very heavy to dance in... *swoon*)

Re: What's your dream costume?
I have a few dream costumes. The one I'd like to have first is:
Bright red
Bra and fitted skirt
Bra FITS ME. That's the big one.
Skirt has a V-shaped dip in the front to make my waist look longer.
A little fringe in the center of the bra, or maybe a dangling crystal.
Plenty of other bling.
Others I'd like:
A bra and circle skirt covered in silk, whose color shades from pale pink through deep fuchsia, decorated with silk roses, accompanied by a matching barrette to wear in my hair.
A bra and trumpet skirt in deep navy blue, decorated with silver beads and clear crystals, with a crystal dangling from the center of the bra, sort of a night-sky look.
Oh, and these would of course all be custom-made for me as gifts, paid for by a gorgeous sugar daddy who's utterly besotted with me. :)

Re: What's your dream costume?
I really want a classic Egyptian movie costume, I especially like one of Tahiya's from Shore of Love with dangling beaded strands all over the skirt. Of course, since the film is black and white, the colors would be up to me. I'm thinking copper and bronze and black and a little silver here and there for a pop. This costume may eventually happen for real.
I tried on a black lace and nude mesh dress of Ranya Renee's this weekend that I loved, but as I'm about 4 inches taller than her it just wasn't workable. Gorgeous, though, with dark oil slick crystals the size of half dollars (or $2 coins, for the Canadians :) scattered about and draped black beaded ropes, and it hit all my curves just right. Think it was a Hallah. It was not cheap but if it had fit me...
I wish I could carry off one of those minimalistic streamlined Sahars, but being not so streamlined myself I fear I would look silly.

Re: What's your dream costume?
My dream costume is one made by the most famous Latin Ballroom Costume maker
or
most expensive costume by Bella with rhinestones, crazy cutouts, gorgeous arm pieces, and the colors I love...which I have not decided yet.

Dream costume:
Candy apple red; Cher meets Hollywood glam belly dance, tons of real diamonds, laced with gold, designed by Bob Mackie, makes people's jaws drops and forces them to unwillingly shower me with $100 bills! ..g.:
