    Hair storage ideas

I used to have a drawer dedicated to my wig, clip-in extensions and extra packs of hair wefts. Now that drawer is holding a costume and I have to find a new home for the hair and all the other drawer space seems to be taken. Anyone have any good ideas? It looks funny when I have random clumps of hair draped all over my bedroom furniture.

I'd suggest those handy storage bins with drawers. I have a couple for my costumes and I imagine they'd work just as well for hair.

you could get those wig stands, btu i imagine those would take up alot of space. you can find those on online wig stores.

I have a large cardboard box that a pair of boots came in that I have stashed on the top shelf in my closet. I've just got a few phony pony and clip on styles. No full or 3/4 wigs. I also keep the wig combs and cleaner in there so it's all together in one place.

Boot box might be good. I'd like the hair to lay straight if possible rather than coiling it up and sticking it in something.

I was talking to my work's bank teller who also sells wigs and hair pieces (what a crazy second job) and she recommended if you can to keep the plastic packaging the hair comes in for storage. If not that, some other plastic or sealed container/bag so it does not absorb scents from your home. Let the hair piece air out after you wear it, then seal it away.

Well I just laid my hair pieces flat in my linens drawer along with the sheets and towels, since that's the only solution for today for getting it out of sight. Hope no unsuspecting guests try to go looking for a fresh pillowcase or anything.

OK, I've got 23 wigs (and counting), so I defintiely know about wig storage! I have a 4-foot square of thick wire mesh hooked to a wall in my closet. From that mesh, I hang S-hooks and hang each wig on a hook. I can see all of them clearly and they don't get all tangled and snarled up together, like they can in a drawer, AND they have the chance to air out and dry this way, in case I've sweated in them.
