hello hair goddesses,
how do you make hair like this? i mean the style at the very beginning with the headband, and when she's singing, my main interest being top of head not end of hair. does it involve wigs?

Re: hair!
You might be able to achieve that look using "bump-its". Especially if you hair is thick enough. Do a search for bump-its on this forum and you'll find a whole thread that talks about them.

Re: hair!
If your hair is the right texture and thickness, you can also do it with just backcombing and hair spray. Most people can't, so they use things like foam hair rats, Bumpits, or partial wigs attached to headbands. If you have the time and the stomach for it, you can make your own personalized, natural-hair rat by saving the strands you pick out of your hairbrush.

Re: hair!
In the next life, I come back with hair like that. This time around, I got big boobs but lousy hair.

Re: hair!
I hear Aveda's hair product "Magic Potion" really helps to hold the bump in place. I know it also adds a lot of volume.

Demonstrated here.

Aveda's "Potion" is great. You need a lot, though. I normally end up inhaling most of it, as the texture is so funky.
