Thread: I am so tired of having large breasts!!

I really, really, really hate it. It makes regular clothes shopping hard and it makes shopping for bellydance costumes nearly impossible. I'm just so tired of it! Thanks for letting me rant!

Totally with you on this one. It makes clothes shopping a real chore.

maybe it's just that I am 46 and have had large breasts all my life, but at this point I am actually happy with the size of my breasts. I have learned what looks good on me and what doesn't. I have surrendered to that fact that my tailor is one of my best friends.

The other thing which I actually enjoy is the fact that many of my costumes are vintage and one of a kind. I look for dancers who are retiring or retired who have these amazing treasure troves of costumes which actually fit me because they were made from real bras back in the day.

The only thing I would change about mine is their shape and firmness. For 46, I am still pretty firm. The tissue is dense enough that my GYN wants to do surgery to double check that none of my fibrosistic lumps are anything else. I say, when we do that, get a boo man in to rearrange this rack! I'd like to be perky once in my life!

Yeah you guys are funny! For those of you in the US who don't like HMOs, they cannot be too bad because my friend got a breast reduction done for free at Kaiser!
Ahh it's always something! Although I do know it is tough for you large breasted women to find the right size costumes, and I do try to tell them in Eygpt all the time to make the cups larger!! Sometimes they listen and sometimes they don't, but trust me I do try to look at for you!!

Haha, very funny. However, I'm being totally serious. I'm sick of it. Joke all you want, but it really can be a burden. It doesn't matter how I dress or what I wear, my breasts get noticed first. They are uncomfortable, get sore as hell during my period, and more than likely they will kill me in the future because of the high rate of breast cancer in my family.

I hear you on this one. 36DD. Of course, a few weeks ago I had a mammogram and everything came back okay. So, they're big and they're healthy. Clothes never look right, costumes never look right. Oy...

Breast reduction! I had one when I was in my early 30s and they took nearly 10 lbs of breast off me. It was a miracle!!! All of a sudden I could wear regular bras and not have to special order them. I could wear sweaters and swimsuits and buy things that fit my whole body not giant sizes to fit my boobs.

I went from a 34 H to a 32 B/C.

Okay, I have big boobs again, but that is because of weight gain.When I lose weight, the boobs shrink. I am a 38 DDD/40 DD now. But I am over 50 lbs heavier than I was back then.

My surgery was covered completely by insurance. I had neck pain, back pain, grooves worn into my shoulders (still there after all these years) and even TMJ because of it.

Do it! You won't be sorry!

I'm with you all the way. I even went as far as discussing a reduction, but just couldn't afford it..cr.: You see something really gorgeous and you try it on and just want to cry as it looks just tottally hideous over huge boobs. Then I think of the literally hundreds of dollars spent on trying desperately to find a comfortable, that doesn't cut into you somewhere. I have had fittings by specialists and still can't find that decent comfortable bra, and they sure as heck ain't pretty either, not like all the lovely bra designed for smaller boobs.... I am jealous..l;, - But seriously it is a problem, and quite depressing.

When in Egypt recently I went to buy a costume or 2 and in the end was so disappointed that I didn't even bother going shopping when everyone else did. Everyone ( 7 others) managed to buy at least 3 costumes each and they were so excited and I can't blame them, but even as I smiled and admired I felt sick with disappointment.

I know where you are coming from Sariah and wish i had answers for both of us.

When other little girls were wearing the pretty little starter bras with pink bows, I had a "granny" bra. 36C at 12/13 years... then the boob fairy visited quite regularly until I'm now a 38F on the right and 38E on the left! However, my younger sister is a 42 J/K, so I feel very fortunate!

It's the other issues, really.. the posture, the shoulder grooves, the neck and lower back strain that get us, I think.

My daughter, after her first two children, was a 34D... then came the third and she's a 34G. Since it was a sudden change, the adaptation has been less gradual. She's doing her best not to slouch, but the increase in weight of her chest means that keeping her shoulders back and down (instead of front and down) seems to be causing her difficulty in her lower back. I see surgery in her future and, quite possibly, in mine!

I just miss my breast before I had children.

The thing is when I find a bra in my size the hip belt is too small. I can never win.

But, my hips are a major problem. I can never find pants that fit, because the waist is too big, or my butt crack shows. So I hardly wear pants because of this and don't have many.

I am glad that I can make things to fit me, but sometimes it stinks when I want to buy something from a popular costume vendor.

I'd gladly donate a few cups, if I could.

Do you who lightly comment that the well endowed can just share some of them know how much that comment hurts? Don't you think that we would gladly give some away if we could? Would you tell someone who had a fat belly that they should give some to you?

I took their comments as commiserating. I felt empathy from them. As you know, being over-endowed is very very difficult. I think it's hard for the lesser endowed to relate.

I think being on the very large or very small end of the scale is difficult. One of my closest friends and roommate in college was an F cup, and we often shared our frustration about our bust size, albeit for every different reasons.

I can barely fill out an A cup and finding a lingerie bra that I don't swim in is nearly impossible. For a while their was a padded balconet bra from Victoria's Secret that fit me great, but they changed the design and now there's about 10% of the cup that's completely empty. And forget about BD costumes, where they assume that if you have tiny boobs then you must also have small hips, so in order to get something that fits my big ass it comes with a huge bra.

I may not have had the experience that the more well endowed have had, but I've had my own keeping me busy. Like being teased endlessly growing up because I was the last girl in the locker room to have a training bra. Or being asked in high school by a charmer one time if I was really a boy dressed up like a girl. Or the time a client said to my face that she'd "never seen a belly dancer with such tiny little tits before!

Really, other people making you feel like sh*t about yourself is pretty much an equal opportunity program, IMO.

Agreed. I think breasts are just a very sensitive topic for many women. Most of us would like something about them to change.

And P.Isabella, I'll take some of yours! They're fabulous! Would sure beat having to pad the hell out of my costumes

Right. Like Laura, I have the same issues finding lingerie bras, swimsuits, and dance costumes that fit right. Most bras at Frederick's or Vicky's Secret start at a 34 B - at least all the cute, attractive ones do. It's really as if designers don't think smaller women want to be sexy, or deserve to be sexy. Plus, there's a whole underlying issue of just not feeling very womanly or sexy in most clothes I try on - which translates to some larger confidence issues that I don't even want to touch upon in this thread. I'm actually looking into surgery, so I certainly don't make these comments lightly or facetiously - quite the opposite.

Not feeling comfortable in your own skin and not finding clothes that fit really, really sucks, no matter what size you are. That's what we are getting at.

I know it is not easy being less than endowed either but I always think of it like winter (small chests) and Summer (Large Chests). In the winter you can always add more layers until your warm enough but in the summer you can only take off so much and you still aren't cool and comfortable! I am right now going through the process of getting a reduction but I will still have to have a D cup because they are so Big. ,m:: How fair is that. Clothes fit awful, swimsuits are a laugh, and bra shopping is impossible! I am a 38 H. There is actually 10 inches difference between my breasts measurements and my waist measurement. That is just CRAZY! Big Breasts and Short Waists should not be combined!!!! Sometimes I feel like I am going to just topple over!

I hear ya! There is something either wrong with my body shape or with the way everyone makes clothes. I have found 1 type of bra that fits right. ONE!!! Not only do I have a small back and waist, but there is no space between my boobs! Which sounds incredibly funny. And then you have the big butt and thighs with a small(and short) waist. GAH! lol I gave up on clothes long ago.

One of biggest pet peeves is that I loved to run when I was younger. But by 4th grade I was in a C and it just wasn't fun anymore. Now, if I run, it's incredibly uncomfortable. Not to mention that I love the one arm up, one arm covering the stomach arm position...but it's hard to get my short arms around my big chest to do it! lol

If I could share my wealth, I would because I understand it's equally frustrating on the other side. ,f::

Removing my comments. I am too close to this issue. Get your boobs cut down to a comfortable size. Your insurance will pay for it. It is not cosmetic. It is medically necessary. Trust me. Your life will change.

I hope desire to have natural larger breast did not offend anyone...yes I completely understand how you could feel...I cannot feel the pain you feel but if it could be a bigger problem in the future I think better find a solution like surgery now when you are younger and easier/faster to heal.
