Costume conversions!
Have you ever taken a costume and messed with it more than just size adjustments and adding a few beads? I really love to see what people do to enhance their costumes or make non flattering costumes work for them. Lets see your handy work!!

I don't know if I want to show my feather Eman that is no longer feathered. It may upset some people but I just didn't like how it looked, so I ripped them out. It's not drammatically enhanced, but looks much better in my opinion. I'll try to take a pic.

Re: Costume conversions!
That's a nice conversion. I really like the two piece version, especially the skirt!

Yay! That looks great!
I wish I could find previous pictures of what I converted. I might be able to come up with one, but I did them a couple of years ago.

I love adding things to my costumes! I added beading to my Bella costume on the arm bands.

My first was a few years ago:
Before and after:

The process:
Buggirl's Increasingly Strange Tokyo Tales...
And a fairly well-known one, my "fire" fixing:
Buggirl's Increasingly Strange Tokyo Tales... - Fire! Your very long Fire post

Re: Costume conversions!
Oh, and heres a future conversion plan!
I just swapped costumes and got a skin colored Eman with white lace on it. Its waaaaay too plain so I think im going to do some dramatic draping with some strand of pearls. Maybe make a few pearl and crystal brooches too.

Re: Costume conversions!
That's what happens when you lust for costumes you can't afford. The dress was a Turkish Emporium troupe costume, which I liked, but I wasn't wearing dresses much anymore since I left my troupe in Utah, so I drew inspiration from a Sim Moda Evi aka Oriental Originals design (French Quarter, I'm sure many of you have seen it) and I made my own version. It was a big project, but the final result fits like a glove and is the easiest costume I have as far as just throwing it on and going.
