Is there a way to beat the salt craving?
I am dying for a potato chip! I am seriously PMSing and I have to dance at a wedding tomorrow! I have been exercising and eating well for the past two weeks to look great for the event but now my body wants SALT, SALT, SALT! Any way to kill the craving until after I perform tomorrow. ..c:: If I eat any salt my body seriously bloats up. Please help.

Re: Is there a way to beat the salt craving?
juicy, juicy fruit usually helps me- whatever is in season
& switching to 'light salt' (potassium chloride instead of whatever the default is?) seemed to help me not bloat so much- your mileage may vary... also, since you have been exercising a lot, a salt craving may mean you need more electrolytes- or (shock) that you actually need some salt (we do need a little after all!)

Your body usually has cravings when it is in need of something. Your body may need some salts replaced. Try having some Gatorade or Powerade-these have electrolytes in them. I find it helps :)

A handful of salted nuts would give a little salt with protein. You'd get nutrients, as opposed to just empty calories from chips.

I hear brushing your teeth gets rid of food cravings. Something about the mix of toothpaste first and then food turns your brain off :)
