not bellydance costuming related but ya'll might know
am gonna google and shop on etsy and ebay but was wondering if anyone knew of a reliable, good quality source for a hair braid? with feathers on the end? something that is braided rawhide or thin rope or something, that has a few feathers on the very end, and can be clipped in like with a roach clip or something. anyone remember these from the 80s?
am also seeking out nice (not cheesy souvenir) Native American jewelry, i like mandalas and dreamcatchers..will post here with what i find
ps not looking for hair falls with cowrie shells or any type of , nothing too tribal bellydance or yarn-y or colorful if that makes sense, more earthy

Scottsdale and Sedona are full of gorgeous, high quality Native American jewelry. Lots of price ranges. I did come across a NA jewelry/art store in Oahu - Honolulu mall - I forgot the name, but it is the mall that always gets the tourists.
I can resist diamonds, rubies, Tiffany's -- no problem. But I turn to mush when confronted with Native American jewelry...I have alot of it.
As to the hair feathers --- I used to have several pairs!

Contact auralynne (auralynne.com), she does hair falls and I'm pretty sure if you email her she'd be willing to do something custom for you. I've never bought one of her falls, but everything I've got from her has been awesome and very well made....she has reasonable prices too. :)
