Thread: My first custom order! PICS UP!!!!

Hey Gals-

Ok after months of "umming and ahhing" about it I have finally put in my first custom order with Bella. Im fairly certain I have just walking into a new serious addiction and my bank account is never going to be the same.

Naturally though I am a bit nervous about it. I have never seen a Bella that wasn't all together stunning- but Im still really hoping I get what I want. I sent along several photos and a description of what I wanted.

Anybody got any custom order Bella stories to share???

I have always had excellent results when I custom order from Bella. Most of the time what I get is even more spectacular than what I gave her for examples. She won't exactly reproduce a costume but she keeps it very similar. I find I just can't purchase costumes anywhere else. She ruined me that way. I am surprised the ladies at my bank don't have her IBAN number memorized by now....lol

I am considering this also. I am in the humming and hawing stage I guess. Any tips from you custom ordering pros out there on how to structure ideas to Bella and what information to send to get the best results?? Thanks, Aunna

Im excited! and cant wait to see what Bella creates. Ive ordered an Olive with gold, Dark green and Eggplant accents. I wanted something similar to Sandras "ring" costume but with a full chiffon skirt instead. I just sent her lots of pics with a description of what I wanted. And my detailed measurements.

OH WOW, that just sounds stunning, especially with your coloring. Please do put up pics when you get to wear it! I too am a Sandra costume luster. Some how she gets the best designs. -Aunna

Depending on how this order goes I have a few others Id like to order. I have a serious problem!

I've finally just got my password for the Bella site, so I'm in definite danger now. I think it'll be my weightloss reward when I've done 15 kgs (halfway there!!)
I'm thinking autumn colours - copper and forest green. Mmmm...

Bellas are sooooo addicting..My husband cringes when he hears Bella LOL

LOL!!! I got an email from Bella a week ago saying that it would be ready in 6 weeks and if $850 USD was ok. Crossing fingers!! I cant wait to see it!!

Ohhhhhhhhhh pretty!!! The one Ive ordered is Olive/Gold/Eggplant. I already have my next one in mind............Pharonic colours ;) Im in trouble I tell ya!!!

Definitely in trouble, galfriend! We want to see the minute it arrives!

This is also a weight loss reward for myself. I lost 10kgs since end of February. Ive got around 7 to go!! Ill order my pharonic Bella then :)

Go you, Monsoon!! I'm 8.5kg down, have 7 to go too! My reward for the first big milestone was Sandra's red Hanan and FlimFlam's purple Sim! A definite splurge - but I'm just adopting the philosophy you told me - "Costumes are like investments." I'd much rather a Bella/Sim/Eman portfolio!

i hope you don't mind me asking - does bella tell you the price once she receive your request? will the price be different at the end if she suddenly decides that she wants to put more crystals? can you tell her a budget when placing an order?

i'm just curious, and maybe one day i'll order one too.....

Hi wingaki- Thanks for your post :) What I did was send Bella pics of what I wanted and a description of colours and my measurements. A few days later she emailed me back and said "we wil be starting your costume shortly and it will be ready in 6 weeks is $..... USD ok???"
So I assume she does that to gauge how much bling etc before she commences. I ve seen some of the Bellas that are aounr the $600-$650 mark and they are gorgeous-I cant wait to see what mine will look like!

Ill definetly post how it goes on this thread in case there are other wondering the same things. I decided to just dive in and have my own experience with Bella.

there are so so so many beautiful bellas. when one day i want to have one made, i wouldn't know which one to request!

I emailed Bella an order awhile ago, didn't hear anything, so be careful and don't always assume that you'll get a price quote from her, because I didn't.

Last week My SISTER got an email saying her costumes were ready...meaning mine. I was worried that she made them to my sister's measurments, but that wasn't even the case! My measurements are a bit smaller than my sisters, and what Bella made them to be were smaller than what I have on my online account! I'm hoping that they will still fit...if not, the swap meet page will be seeing two beautiful unused costumes on it in a few weeks.....

Ohh shimmy I hope they fit you!!! Make sure you post pics of your new sparklies when they come :)

That is soooo exciting! I loooove Sandra's costumes as well, and am working on saving toward a Bella. I haven't bought one yet, but just seeing her work, yea I have high standards and it might just be Bella or nothing now ;) But I didn't know you could send her pictures as added inspiration (there's this one Sandra costume that i dream of its like magenta and has this arm wrapping piece that also wraps the leg (its on her website, she even said it took a bit to figure out how to wear it but its fantastic!) Can't wait to see yours! ..g.:

Bernie - would you mind posting a close up pic of the bra or belt? I would love to see what the purples looks like with the green.. it is not so well visible from the distance. Thank you!

P.s. I think it s great Bella does not make exact duplications by principle. So everyone knows what they get will remain unique! Love that mentality in a designer. Class!
