Thread: Predominantly black skirt/gauntlets...what color bedlah?

I've had a gorgeous black velvet trumpet skirt/gauntlet set for a while now and I've been meaning to either buy or make a bedlah to go with it. There are some pretty swirly patterns in gold and red on the fabric...so yummy! So, here's the question...gold, red, or black bedlah? I'm of very short stature and very hippy---what company makes good bras and belts that are good for us curvy gals? Any info/input is much appreciated, and thank you ahead of time. :cr:

alot depends on your budget...as far as color choice, i'd go with what ever color is most flattering with your skin. gold is VERY versatile but red is also a good staple. both would be good choices

what about a mix? I hate red and black because it gives such a devilish/halloween costume look. But what about gold with some red accents?

I second the vote for gold or black. I wouldn't go with black unless the fabric is very patterned -- a bit of contrast against the black fabric would show up more nicely.

I'd say gold if it looks good with your colouring. It's very usable. A black bedlah with black skirt might be kinda invisable depending on the lighting in your venue.

hot pink/fuschia, lime green, or bright turquoise would be my options :)

eta: oops, just red it has red swirly patterns (i had read it as it was plain black, my bad!). red and black, and maybe some gold would look nice :)

A strongly patterned bedleh in red and gold would look delicious. Red gold and black would be superawesome.

Goodness, the patterned bedlah idea is lovely, didn't even think about it, honestly. Now, just to find one, for cheap, lol. Thank you everyone!

I've paired my black skirt and black gauntlets with silver, and I do get a lot of compliments on it.
